Hubby FINALLY received his rating today after over 108 days of waiting.

Happy to report that he received 40% PDR for DDD and chronic neuralgia

Now hopefully we won't have to wait long for the release message and orders, so we can get on with our lives.

July 13th,2011 is the day it was received in DC
Findings came back October 20th
Unfit with 20% disability rating with severance pay for marked limitation of motion, right ankle.

jamesrumph, have you already had your physical by the VA? We have not. We were in the "old" system.
 
Update to our timeline:
File sent to IPEB July 13th
Received findings and concurred Oct. 21st
PDA received file Oct. 28th
Received Letter of Release Nov. 7th

When you write Letter or Release, is that your discharge orders?

If so, what is your discharge date?

I'm trying to figure out how much time folks are getting for their "final out" time.

Letter of release is what they need to do the orders yes. The absolute final day for us is 2 Feb. 2012, although we could go sooner. I believe 90 days is how far out you can go.

nwlivewire, I'm sorry I just now saw your reply. We are waiting on my husband's leave form to be returned. (He is taking terminal leave, pending approval). I will update as soon as he goes to transition appt. and gets his orders and such. Yes, we are happy with our results. :)
 
Congrats. I got 30% retired on 4 Nov. Still awaiting orders tho. Hopefully it will be this week. I would like to be home by Christmas but I think I have to many leave days for that to happen.
 
I signed my 199 on the 9th of November. The PEBLO told me 4-6 weeks before I would receive my orders. Is this still the case? I would also like to be home for the holidays.
 
We got the letter of release on Nov. 7th. He put in for leave either the 8th or 9th and because of the 4 day he didn't get his leave form back until first thing yesterday. He has 32 days of terminal leave, 20 days of PTDY. On the letter of release our final out day was 2 Feb. Because of the PTDY and Terminal Leave we are on a plane on 13 Dec. He went to transition office today, orders were cut, plane reservations made, household good scheduled to be picked up 5 Dec.
