Good afternoon all,
I’m just trying to determine my chances of staying in as a nuke and sub guy. I recently have been diagnosed with a mood disorder and have subclinical hyperthyroidism for over 2 years now. I am at a recruiting command so it hasn’t made it to navy medicine yet apparently. I know that any history of hyperthyroidism is disqualifying, but I recently started on gabapentin for the mood disorder which had the concurrent effect of correcting my tsh. Would I still be disqualified for retention? I’m trying to decide whether I submit the PEB/MEB before I am transferred back to sea duty so I don’t have to move my family for no reason. I have been in for 10 years. Also , I currently do hold a waiver already for a suicide attempt within my first 4 years (personal issues)
