NARSUM Appeal

Good afternoon folks,

Looking for some help/guidance here. I'm in the Active Duty Army and I am going through the MEB process. I just got my NARSUM back and plan to appeal before the findings are sent to the VA. My condition is severely underplayed in the summary, even though there is plenty of medical documentation to back up the severity. Additionally, they didn't even get the deployment information correct and it states that I deployed to places I never went to and leaves out the places that I did deploy to. I have two options and I have to respond by February 1st. My options are to appeal and request an IMR, or to appeal and submit a written rebuttal. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this situation and what you guys ended up doing. I reached out to the provided military lawyers but obviously have the option to pay for civilian legal counseling if I choose. Thank you for any information you may be able to provide!

Have you asked your Assigned IDES legal counsel?

Have you considered an IMR?
