Hey folks, I’ve been lurking a while and decided to post my timeline.

- MEB Triggered: 09Sep2022
- NARSUM Submitted: 21Dec2022
- Found Unfit: 21Jan2023 (wasn’t informed until I reached out to PEBLO in mid February)
- Case Closed on VA: 13Apr2023
- Called attorney to see what’s up: 18Apr2023 (informed 100% VA but can’t see DoD rating)

Anyone know why attorney can’t see anything listed under DoD rating?

Can take up to a week or so to have the DOD rating returned. I would give it another day or two and then reach out to your PEBLO. Or just call your PEBLO tomorrow.

My VA Claims closed on the 13th and I found out my rating from VA was 100%. I reached out to my MSC and PELBO on Monday. MSC said I should hear something this week and my PEBLO just said hopefully we get everything back soon. So I’m hoping to hear something back by Friday but I am constantly checking my email

Awesome thank you. Hopefully we both hear soon and that it's favorable. I am definitely ready to put this behind me and start the next chapter of life. Thanks again.

You case was submitted to the PEB 21dec22? I believe mines was submitted Jan 27 just trying to get a timeline for myself. Talked to the Va they told me I should have my finding 1to3 weeks.

Update: Received findings 24APR, but ratings were not correct.

My unfitting condition is "back pain, unspecified" which was rated at 20% for Sacrolitis/Degenerative Arthritis. However, I received additional ratings for bi-lateral lower radiculopathy (50%) that were not included in the unfitting condition. The radiculopathy is the major issue that's been causing the low-back pain. Does anyone know what I should do? VARR or FPEB?

I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

If a condition isn't listed as unfitting then you add it through a FPEB. If a condition is already listed as unfitting but its wrong and too low then you submit a VARR. Also, you can do both if applicable. My wife requested a FPEB and VARR to fix 2 separate things. Consult your IDES representative on how to proceed. Also, consider hiring a private attorney. It's a bit late in the game but since the results have life altering financial implications I would look into hiring a private IDES attorney.

I just talked to my PEBLO, he said my case was still in with QA and I should get findings soon. Anyone know how long that could take. I know my VA had been closed since 13APR

I guess I've never posted mine, and its a similiar timeline to yours.

Sep-2022 referred to IDES
Oct 12, 2022 completed C&P's
Jan 14, 2023 completed MEB Jan 20, 2023 sent to PEB
~Late Feb 2023 Unfit
Apr 12, 2023 VA closed claim, I've seen proposed results, but I'm on day 13 waiting for findings.

The exact same thing happened to me last week and I am appealing. You should appeal, my attorney said it was extremely unusual as well. FPEB not a VARR.

That's the route I am taking. My attorney said it'll add 3-4 months (Navy). I had a job lined up, but it is what it is. Can't control it. I wish you the best- hopefully we can put this behind us in the fall.

From reading many timelines and my experience, it's taking right at 90(ish) days. The VA hired a lot of raters recently (according to attorney) and that may speed up timelines. However, 90ish days seems like a consistent number over the last few months.

I went to FPEB to ask them to change my referred condition from dizziness to Meniere's Disease after I got a diagnosis. They came back and said (Tl;Dr - we don't control ratings, submit a VARR). Attorney says expect 2-6 week

That’s annoying. That could have saved you a lot of time. My issue seems slightly different- I was properly diagnosed, but the condition wasn’t identified/grouped under the “unfitting” condition when it should have been.

I feel that's worse than my issue  hopefully you get a quick resolution.

I think it’ll be a quick fix during FPEB. Seems like an admin error. I saw your FPEB timeline and it’s reassuring that it was semi-quick.

Thank you!
I like that they are effective and thorough but it's still aggrevsting with the large time gaps

Question: did they add the radiculopathy via the FPEB?
