No word yet...

I signed my narsum on June 10 and I have been waiting to hear something from the PEBLO's. I have been trying to give a little bit of time before asking questions (I don't want to annoy the PEBLO's.)
From what I understand, I am in England and my packet is sent to Randolph for the PEB. I am not sure if this is snail mail or email. I also know that the PEB has 15 days (From what I read in a timeline) to determine fit/unfit, but I am not sure if those are work days or calender days.

On my MPF my "assignment selection" changed to June 26 2015 deferred due to MEB/PEB. Not sure if that is a hint that my stuff arrived at AFPC and started being viewed or what.

Seeing how it has been a month since I signed my narsum, would now be a good time to ask my PEBLO's something, or should I give it a little longer to hear from them?

For what it's worth, my package went to Randolph right around the same time (I think it was around June 7), and I still haven't been found unfit yet either.

Are you CONUS or OCONUS? And if that is the case, then I guess I could hold off a little longer before pestering the PEBLO's

HercNav,

Funny enough, my NCOIC asked about my stuff and wanted an update. Clearly I had nothing to tell him, but I asked if he wanted me to call my PEBLO. He said sure and I did just that.

The PEBLO informed me that my stuff was at the VA, so.... ya know what that means if ya had read enough on here or done your research. I would also recommend asking your PEBLO and see what they say. All I told them was "My NCOIC was asking for an update on my package and I was wondering if you had anything I could pass along to him." That is what I asked, so hopefully that helps.

Since we are around the same time, I will update you on my progress. I only had 1 unfit condition and I was claiming 2 others.

Just refer the NCOIC to your PEBLO. The process takes time just like anything else in the military.

The published dates are guidelines, they can change.

Same thing with me, I'll keep you informed of anything along the way on my side. FWIW, I'm CONUS, at a small base in New Mexico. I had 3 unfitting (we'll see what the IPEB says about two of them) and a few others. Good luck to ya!

gsfowler, I just told him that it was at the VA and there was no set date for anything after that since They could take forever. Basically I just sit, wait and plan for my separation.

HercNav, when you say the same thing, are you saying that you also heard your packet was at the VA or just that you would keep me informed? Either way, good to know I kinda have someone right there with me in the process and someone to actually talk to on here. I would hate to be in New Mexico right now... I am way to acclimated to this British weather :/

Best of luck to you as well!

My bad, I meant I'd keep you informed. I bugged my PEBLO today, and still no finding from the IPEB...going on a month now.

Update: Apparently my package, although it was signed on 6 June, did not actually get sent to Randolph until 23 June (the explanation was "MyPers" was down...frankly, I'm not sure I believe that, but whatever).

I dont see it being down that long. Mine was sent on the 10th... wasnt down for mine so I dont see why it would have been down for you either. I hope you find out something soon though. They didnt take to long to decide on mine, so maybe yours wont take long either. :D

How long should one wait to assume that the IPEB has decided unfit and sent it to the VA for ratings?

IPEB got my package on 12 May and I haven't heard anything from my PEBLO since, however, I did notice that the original message on myPers stating that my MEB package was sent to the IPEB, was updated on 27 May (exactly 15 days later). 3 days later on 30 May, eBenefits showed a new claim titled: "Authorization Review." Would I be correct to assume that these dates correlate to an unfit determination and I am now waiting on the VA?

If you do not have a complicated package, I would assume yes. Nothing on MyPers has changed for me. I literally have nothing on there that I can see. Also, my ebenefits hasnt left under review si ce I first logged on. I would assume you were unfit, but if anything just ask your peblo for an update on the status of your package. I know the "guidline" for AFPC to make a decision is 15 days... and from what I understand they make those decisions pretty fast. Most only take 2 to 3 days

Cool, thanks. My peblo isn't exactly "useful" if you know what I mean. My package isn't complicated, so I'm pretty sure my case is at the VA. The good thing is it's at Rhode Island, supposedly they are faster. Not sure why you didn't see anything in myPers though. Nothing seems to be very consistent with this process.

I would def. go with the thought that you are unfit. I wouldn't do anything like failing PT test and of the sort just in case, but prepare for the transition is good. As for MyPers, I am assuming it is in the notifications and documents section where this stuff is supposed to be when you log in???? and it would be much easier on us all if it was consistent. Not everything, but there are a lot of things that could. MyPers, Ebenefits, helpful PEBLO's and things like that. Sure, timelines could be different because of all the different factors such as amount of claims, the differences between each claim of each case, CONUS and OCONUS and so forth.

myPers: It is showing up in the incidents/messages section under My Account on the left side of the homepage. It shows AFPC's response stating that PEBLO's submission has been submitted to the PEB office on 12 May. It shows that it has been updated on 27 May but no details. If you haven't checked that, maybe something is there. I never got an email notification or anything, just happened to check it.

Nothing shows up on mine. It is all blank. My entire process has just been wait... no info haha. Well, until I called last week and they told me the stuff was at the VA lol

For what it's worth, still waiting on an IPEB decision here with three boarded conditions.

i have been trying to hold off on an update. We have seen a good amount of cases come back from the VA in the 67 to 80 days. I am finally in that range and chomping at the bit. i will keep you all posted.

So the shirt was asking for an update and the peblo said that ratings are averaging three months. My packet arrived at the VA June 11. So it looks like late september or early october before I get the official decision and ratings. Hopefully I will be home in time for the holidays with my family. Havent been home for any in the past 3 years.... actually havent seen them that much in the past 3 years now that I think about it.

Anyways.. have y'all gotten any update?
