Oldest trick in the book

Hey everyone, I found this site a few days after signing my NARSUM and now I'm playing the fool as I realize I should have requested an IMR or appealed my NARSUM but instead I took my PEBLOs advice which was "I would just sign it, your condition is so bad there is no way they don't retire you" but after the stories I've just read on here, listening to the PEBLO generally isn't ever a good idea.
In terms of my NARSUM, they weren't exactly wrong, but they weren't also exactly right. There were a few discrepancies between what my PCM said, what my specialist said, and what the QTC doc said. Any advice on what to do if I receive less than favorable findings? From what I've gathered my only recourse left is to appeal it to the FPEB if need be. I hope that isn't the case but if it is I would like to be prepared for the next steps. Thanks in advance.

There might be PEBLO's that aren't as experienced as others. I thought my PEBLO dine a really good job, and he really knew his stuff. But ultimately it is up to the soldier to appeal. Did you go through the Soldiers counsel for any questions, or advice. I am not sure if it is too late, and unsure if you have any recourse. If you got your legal briefing at the beginning of the IDES, do you still have their contact number to see about your options? I am not experienced in all these matters, but I think if you signed it as accepting it, it might be too late. If you requested a formal PEB, ensure you get someone to represent you. The work for the vet, not the PEB or commanders.

The NARSUM is just one document in a large stack of information. On my second trip through the PEB process my NARSUM was so off track for a PEB, the IPEB required it be reaccomplished. The original NARSUM worked perfect for outlining an SSDI claim. I would not worry about what might happen. Focus on what you can control NOW!

I just got my findings, and the PEB only used the C&P exam from QTC as a reference, which had a major discrepancy from everything else including my NARSUM.
So from my situation, I would suggest you focus on your C&P exam.
