PDRL 80% Rating recieved few Q&A Please

Hello all. I have just recieved me findings back and was awarded 80% PDRL. WOOHOOO!!!!
Questions i have are
1. What are my chances of a 100% rating through VA. I have checke the VSARD and was told by peblo and VMETS not to worry but its my future so im a little worried lol.
Army Rated me 50 for Bipolar II with NOS, severe Anxiety Disorder, and ADHD with mild depression, 20 per shoulder with 8.76 for Bilateral.
Now i still have GERD, Gloucoma, E.D., skin disorder on my face from chemical burn, and arthritis.
Depending on how the VA Rates the secondary issues is that enough to make up the 30% difference?
I was also told today at VMETS that the va may even rate the conditions that were rated at 50 and 20 20 at a higher rate. Is that possible?
2. Second question is with PDRL will i also beable to keep the United Concodia Dental for the Family? the Benifits are honestly the biggest issues to me. I know that i have 470 for year tricare but thats you cant find nywhere. Just wondering if can keep the dental and if so how much. Thank you

Is there a good compensation calculator floating around here?

This is a DFAS calculator for CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation).

This calculator gives you not only an ESTIMATED total compensation award, but also breaks down that total ESTIMATED award amount by branch of service, by VA, and CRSC (if qualified for CRSC).

All you need to do is input the data it requests from you.

This calculator will estimate your total amount of monthly compensation IF you have LESS than 19 years 11 months of Active Duty service.

For those with 20 or more years of Active Duty service, I do not know of a calculator for that one.

If this calculator fits your needs and situation, please let us know.

I am curious to know if you have CRSC qualified percentages and if you will be estimated to recieve any CRSC.

I don't have an answer about the dental part and hope someone else chimes in to answer that question for you. I'd like to know the answer to that question as well.

Retirees are eligible for dental coverage although I believe it is currently Delta Dental. It runs around $130 a month for my family of six.

The Dental piece of your question:

I just got a standard stock letter from the dental company who runs the dental program for the Active duty side of the house.

United Concordia Companies, Inc. (UCCI)

PO BOX 69430

Harrisburg, PA 17106-9430

Basically, the letter said if I had any questions about the Dental program, I could visit the TRICARE web site at:

www.tricare.mil

I suppose this is just a start on getting the right answers to your questions about dental. You may have to slueth a little bit more - but here's a start.

So it looks like we may have a new insurance company handling all the dental stuff now - and it calls itself United Concordia.

Just follow up.
1. Still awaiting Decision but was informed yesterday that it was sent that dy to the decision phase. Looking up now. Would still like to see anyone else who was rated at 80 perm what they finnally recieved from VA.

2. Retiree combined Military Rating over 20% Qualify for Delta Dental so far all I looked for was Family and it is 141 a month for family of 5. Copays are very similar to that of united concordia while on AD.
Civilian Dental Monthly Initial Out of Pocket expenses where drastically lower at 28-99 per month but Co-Pays and Deductables where drastically higher. I.E. Filling co-pay DD=$6 as CivDental= 16-80 co-pay with 250-1500 Deductable that needed to be payed prior to them paying for procedure. With DD almost everything is covered within a refferal which is recieved within few days as Civ Dental has few weeks to approve-Deny mostly denied. And still with High deductabe.
My opinion stick with DD also unlike Tricare Prime you dont have to pay prior to getting released you can do it after Discharge.
3. Upon discharge i payed my 3 month copay prior to discharge so that i may keep prime for my family.
Upon Retire Date i made some Dr appointments, folow ups routine visits. Next day i recived a call that i could not be seen t the MTF as i was in Tricare Standard. I was told that the application was stil in reveiw that i needed to wait a few 3-4 days and it will be taken care of. Also that i may make Appointments with outside providers and by the time tricare recieved bill i will be in prime.
Long story short 3 Dr visits and amost full visit bill paid out of pocket for nothing more than we cant do anything for you we dont do refills or we arent your PCM. GRRRRRR and almost 3 weeks. Now im out of meds in 2 days, so called tricare explained my situation and was greeted with a Very helpful Rep. She stayed on the phone with me until i was changed to prime and back dated to the 1st. As well as help me get an appointment for that day at the MTF where i was previously treated, as well as credited for Botched Dr visits.
As long as you submit your payment prior to the 20th day of month you will continue with prime without interuption. Mine was recieved by them on the 23rd but was able to get them to reissue it a little while later.:cool:
So far i have changed my PCM 4 times as finding that dr that is right for you isnt easy nor do they understand half of the time. There seems to be some that try to re diagnose you as if all that you went through was a failed experiment or your just there to get something even if you have the treatment records to prove it.
Personally thats why i am sticking with the VA for my care.
Sorry for rambling but i just wanted to share my experience so far.
Will update a little more as it comes.
 
Just curious, how long did it take from you accepting PDRL until your pay was updated?
