Good morning. I had my initial MEB in 2008 and was granted a 10% Medical Separation (DVT) with severance pay by the Navy on 12 January 2009. I later received a letter in the mail (2014) stating that they were going to do another board due to inaccuracies to which I was just placed on the PDRL effective 13 Jan 2009 after being granted 40% by the Navy. My question is, does the initial board finding of 10% upon separation affect my then rating for DVT which was also 10% as I was told then by the VA that they issued that rating based upon what the board found during my MEB? I was told that the VA as well as DFAS would be doing an audit but I know that I will not be receiving any retirement backpay simply because I am 100% P/T at this time.
