if a person is being rated as minor seziures, how do they determine a rating, when the record indicates 1 to 2 seziures per day? i know what the rating schedule says, as for as the actual rating, such as 10 or more minor seziures per week, the rating is 80%. how do they determine the total per week, when the record says 1 to 2 minor seziures per day? how many per week is 1 to 2 per day?

Cacti6466,

Welcome!

This thread contains a discussion from a member who had seizures.

Here is an excerpt from the rating schedule:

Averaging at least 1 major seizure in 3 months over the last year;
or more than 10 minor seizures weekly ...........80

Averaging at least 1 major seizure in 4 months over the last year;
or 9-10 minor seizures per week ...............................60

At least 1 major seizure in the last 6 months or 2 in the last year;
or averaging at least 5 to 8 minor seizures weekly ........40

So, depending on the number per week, you can figure out what the proper rating is. An important factor will be documenting the number. I suggest keeping a diary of where and when these seizures occur. You can show this to your neurologist and they should document it in your treatment records.
