Seattle Regional VA Timelines:

you JUST started in July, it takes time. You want it to come back accurate, not rushed and incorrect. If they rush it, you would probably have to do an appeal which would take even longer... just look at it that way...

I appreciate your outlook on this, i know July wasn't that long ago, but being on active duty with a combat unit, there's not much that i am able to do which makes it feel like it has been alot longer!

This is my timeline with the Seattle VA:
25 July 2014 - Referral to IDES
28 July 2014 - MSC Appt
08 Aug 2014 - C&P Exam
02 Sep 2014 - Signed Narsum
03 Sep 2014 - Narsum sent to PEB
04 Sep 2014 - Found unfit by PEB

Just trying to get some current feedback back on how fast Seattle VA ratings have been coming back, and if anyone out there has a similar timeline as mine. The waiting is frustraiting, especially since i have only 7 conditions to be rated.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Indeed, in my opinion, the wait can be frustrating albeit it’s best to obtain favorable results while still on active duty in the U.S. military via the DoD IDES process versus trying to “fix” unfavorable results as a military veteran! Take care and enjoy life!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

yes welcome, sit back and read the forum to learn more about the process your in.

from unfit letter to the VA to my known verbal ratings was just a bit over 6 months for me.

Thanks for the information. The wait has been very difficult for me. i am at 4 weeks and counting for the 199. it has been a frustrating process. i will keep u posted

The wait for the 199 killed me as well, but after I signed it, I was told another 4 to 6 weeks, and it was just shy of a month to get my orders.

Last month Ft. Gordon the Peblos were giving a lot of cases on top of what they had, I felt like my Peblo was going to quit, and that still may be a possibility, overwhelmed with cases, and its apparent Peblos may be stressed as well.
I send my Peblo motivational emails when I need to inquire about something.

Indeed, fast; congratulations on the receipt of your DoVA final rating decision documentation! :D

Yea you guys have been flying through the process. I hope mine starts moving soon im at 111 days. Still at gathering evidence with no reason from anyone why its there they tell me they have everything they need.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Hmm, have you received your IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings at this point in time?

I keep seeing people saying that they were found unfit a few days after their NARSUM was sent to the PEB. Do the PEBLOs usually notify you of this finding at the time it is made, or did you find out when your ratings came back? The IDES office here in Pendleton told me I'd hear back in 60-90 days, but made no mention of finding out my fit/unfit decision before my ratings are in. I'm a Marine, so maybe our stuff is different?

Indeed, unfortunately, it seems that the USMC process for notification to the DoD IDES military service member of an "unfit for duty" determination is different that the notification process by the U.S. Army.

I talked to Ms Ann, one of the VA reps at the Camp Pendleton IDES office and she told me I had been found unfit.

Ok thanks, I sent her an email.

you are very welcome :-)

Hey guys, after reading some of your timelines and such, I am on the verge of a panick attack!

I was medically retired September 17th and I am 70% on both sides of the house PDRL. Now I am being paid by the Army as of now for my disability but it is $300 less than the VA portion. I have called the Seattle VA and they said they received my DD214 as soon as I started terminal leave (Aug 13). Yet they have no timeline for me when they will start paying me their portion. DFAS has told me that they have not receieved anything from the VA letting them know that the VA will take over the payments because theirs is more. Also the VA rep that I spoke too told me that right now it is taking approximately six months for claims. How is that even possible if I was MEB and the I signed all the documents agreeing with the 70% from both DoD and VA? Also, she said it was a PROPOSED rating. I almost blew my lid and had to leave work I was so frustrated.

Hmm, something just doesn't seem right at this point albeit keep pressing the issue so that it can be resolved as quickly as feasiblely possible.

Warrior it is horrible. I can deal with the 300 difference for now between the two but come January I can not even come close to being able to blow off the difference. I start school in January and that is in serious jeopardy. If I can not get the VA to secure their payment to me by Dec 1st then I will not be able to make the commitment to college I will have to stay with my contract job which makes things even worse

Wow! Any lead way of positive feedback from the VBA at this point in time!

So I went through my VA reevaluation about two months ago. I know the paperwork is done because I am trying to send in my VA reevaluation to the MEB for my TDRL review.

Received a call today from the VA which I thought was a scam initially, the lady indicated I was rated at 80% when I am rated at 60%. Apparently, the VA saw fit to increase my PTSD to 70% and are now offering me unemployable status. Interesting way to end the weekend.

Hello. Just have a quick question regarding after you receive the 199.
I got mine last Thursday after waiting 67 days for ratings. Ratings were 10 DOD/ 100 VA.
I was completely pleased with my rating I signed off right away.
Now my question is, how long does it normally take for you to show up on Transproc. Was told it could be 2-3 days.
Will I receive an email from them when I am? and will this give me an estimate on when I will be out and will this have a copy of my separation orders? thanks for the help!
