Hello All
Im active duty Navy. 14yos. In 2021 I had orders to Japan but they were scrapped after my diagnosis. So i still really want to get to japan! Asap because my husband is there. Whenever i tell my va rep or peblo they say “ talk to your command they can do something for you”
what does that mean exactly? Because im willing to do it i just need direction
I was found unfit nov 30
And my va rating is in preparation for decision since jan 10

Sounds like VA rep and PEBLO are just trying to pass the puck. As far as I know, there’s nothing you can do at the moment. Regulations prevent PCS during the MEB/PEB process. I don’t believe there is a way around that but it’s worth looking into. OCONUS move would probably be even less likely unfortunately. You likely have another 1-1.5 months until you receive findings, based on how long mine just took.

Hello @RockyRoad

If the VA rep and the PEBLO cannot do anything at this time (due to regulation or incomplete processes), a suggestion to see someone else is not inappropriate.
Perhaps, the are under the impression that the command might be able to assist. Frankly, I suspect the command wants the process to proceed as regular processing.

The fact that the original post, included "...So i still really want to get to japan! Asap because my husband is there" will likely have no impact. I hope that the processing is completed quickly.

@RonG I will confirm that detailers/community managers won't PCS someone while awaiting results.

@Mercede90 did you PCS back to the States from Japan? Or are you TAD to an MTF for the purpose of DES?

Agreed. Not sure of a remedy for this situation but hoping findings are received quickly to limit the wait.

Kind of surprised they didn't modify your spouse's orders to get you co-located in VA. Just a side thought.
