  • Now that my case has been sent to the PEB, who (if anyone) can I contact to find out whether the board has found me "fit" or "unfit"?
    My PEBLO mentioned they won’t be able to provide updates until findings come back with final disposition. Are there any other channels where I might get updates?
  • PEB already accepted my case, based on the case status I see in MyNavy Portal, which I attached, is it reasonable to assume that I’ve already been found “unfit,” and they’re now just waiting on the VA to assign a rating? Or does this status still mean they haven’t made any decision yet?

Looking for insights based on your experiences. Thank you all.

So there isn't any shortcuts. Typical hurry up and wait and each case different and that's why you can't get any updates. You should have to fill your time up with something to focus on because there is no standard timeline anymore.
 
My Recovery Care Coordinator (from Air Force Wounded Warrior Program) was able to get some insights about my status before the PEBLO had eyes on. Unfortunately I can't remember if the Navy has a similar program.

That's a pretty quick turnaround for a MNP update like that. AFAIK, that means you're only waiting on the VA to send finalized findings to the PEB which has been hovering in the 120 day range recently. See my sig for a fairly recent full timeline.

MSC would be my go-to. He was able to tell me if it was in the queue or being actively worked on.

After that, I would contact a VSO. Maybe my MSC was "overstepping his bounds" but VSOs have no such restrictions.

May 29, 2025 - VA app claim closed, but proposed rating letter dated for May 23, 2025
Jun 3, 2025 - Received findings, signed and sent back the same day. 70%DOD / 100%VA P&T

Wow this was a quick one! Can you tell me who started the MEB for you? Was it your PCM or a specific specialty? Were you on LIMDU prior to getting MEB? Lastly what was your disqualifying condition? I want my case to go this fast! I’m also going thu Portsmouth.

It was my PCM who initiated the MEB. I have never been LIMDU. Spondylolisthesis is my referred condition then my Neurologist added Migraines later on, both are found unfit.

Oh dang yeah that will do it! I suffered a TBI on a combat deployment in 2012 and trying to get med retired for that and all the other conditions that iv suffered. Ima see if my PCM can put on MEB. I have an appointment tomorrow I also have appointment with TBI clinic but not till July

Im going through portsmouth right now was on Limdu for about a year before they put in a MEB request, also for a TBI and migraines. i was seeing Neurology for about a year.

Hopefully mine closes soon too, signed and sent to PEB May 9th.
 
I am currently on a medboard where my case is soon to be sent to the PEB. Is there a way to track my case as it is up in D.C.? How are people seeing when their findings case closed?
