VA has started another claim for compensation

I recently got out in Dec 17, 2023 from AD Air Force. I went through a PEB and claim came back 100% VA and 40% DOD. I went on the VA website after receiving DD214 and it VA shows that I have another claim for compensation same one as before that I received 100% VA. Why do I have another claim as the same one as before? I’m just confused as why I would have the same claims and have to do it all over again and wait for compensation. I thought it was supposed to be just the one when I went through PEB.

Someone that is more wise may correct me, but from the reading I have done from here, a claim is opened once you are out and provide your DD214, that basically is a quality check on the initial claim before it is closed out and you receive your compensation.

You have 2 claims because one was created for your proposed ratings but that is a placeholder. You can't get benefits etc while active duty. So they create a new claim for when you are out that converts to a finalized one 4-8 weeks after getting out. I would upload your DD214 to both of them just in case.
 
First claim is to provide info to DoD ISO PEB.
Second claim is to pay you.

When you get your DD214 upload it to the second claim immediately.

do any of you guys know how long this process takes? I’m in exact same boat! I was told my first pay would be received on Feb 1 but on VA.gov it still says gathering evidence.
 
So mine was submitted 18 of December I got my results 2 days ago so it took 4 weeks for me. I still haven’t got back pay.

So mine ended up taking 4 weeks. I haven’t got back pay yet so not to sure when I get back pay.
 
I got out on Dec 30. Hoping mine is updated soon. My COE is not reflecting my ratings and I’m trying to close on a house
