VA paperwork done, but I still have questions

So two months ago I finished my last VA appointment and I finally got the paperwork for the mental health portion of the VA appointment I had. It supports 70 percent from what the doctor selected. I did claim PTSD but the doctor said I did not meet one of the criteria to be diagnosed with it. As for what I should be expecting from the PEB, will it most likely be a PDRL since I do not have the PTSD diagnosis?
I did however get diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
The mental health NARSUM also supports that my condition will remain the same in the next 12 months and the next 3 years.

Not sure if all the information that I gave helps, but please let me know what you think!

Thanks

more than likely you will be TDRL.

Now that’s not 100 percent but from what I am told most MH conditions are considered TDRL. Very frustrating for sure.

There are other factors that come into play as well, time in service may help you. How much time do you have?

Do you have any other referred conditions that you are going up for?

The worst part of the mental health is that it is all in one category. One of my referred conditions is Generalized Anxiety Disorder but during my VA exam I met all the conditions for PTSD. I spoke with my attorney and asked her would it be worth the time to ask for an IMR for PTSD. She told me not really because mental health is all in one category.

I hope all this makes sense. Everyone’s case is unique and so different, you could be that one that does get PDRL but it may not happen. Keep your head up! You’re not alone. Feel free to hit me up if you would like.

All the best
