Hey guys,

I've made a bit of a hobby out of talking people through boards mostly on Reddit by discussing their process with them and directing them here. There's a real chance that a few of you reading this that came from Reddit were directed to some of my threads on the board process.
An issue that I've had is having a good response for someone that had a bad exam. I've only had it happen to a couple dudes, where their exams were wildly inaccurate stating full ability.
My typical response has been to seek a provider's examination of the same issue after the exam and submit it as VARR evidence, but I'm wondering if this is the only recourse there is. Just wanted to check with you guys to see if I may be forgetting something.

Thanks in advance.

I tend to be more proactive. If DBQ from examiner is false or wrong I seek out a competing DBQ meaning I have my doctor or pay for an independent doctor to fill out the DBQ correctly and sign off on it. Then submit DBQ with statement in support of a claim form and in that form say why you believe C&P examiner is wrong and refer to your medical evidence and DBQ. The Rater will see all of this and if your doctor's DBQ and medical evidence are aligned the VA Rater will more than likely ignore the C&P examiners DBQ and give you the correct rating. If that doesn't work you still retain the option later on to submit a VARR where you can submit even more evidence. Imagine a 3rd DBQ and referencing specific medical records they have access to? The higher level Rater at the VARR level will most certainly side with you since you have 2 DBQ's and or letters + medical records backing up your assertion.

Forgot to mention where to submit. You can upload statement in support of claim for and evidence to your consolidated claim on VA.gov or you can give it to your MSC and they should be able to upload it for you. I prefer doing it myself. It's a crapshoot if you have a decent MSC or not.

Thank you. And I agree with the MSC bit... seems like many are afraid of being labeled a coach and getting fired so they just paperweight.
