Will record of PCM affect my VA disability rate?

Chapter 5-17 is being pushed for me, most likely honorable, but I'm getting confused. I'm still fighting for MEB, but isn't going much well.

but the issue is, PCM noted that i'm experiencing psychological pain for my lower back even MRI says my disc is torn and bulging, when pain management says there is issue and recognize the MRI finding.

I've argued with my PCM, and chief of the clinic(OIC of TMC), but they were saying that is professional decision, so it wont be changed. I'm getting referred to neural surgeon off post to get another opinion.

If I get chaptered, and try to claim disability, will my PCM's record, saying i'm exclusively having psychological pain for my back and Physical phase2 stating everything normal , influence the disability rating for VA?

The preponderance of the evidence will be considered. With the VA if the evidence supports your claim 50% or more; the decision goes your way.

So a specialist opinion, within the scope of their specialty, would like be given more weight than a family practice physician. Get that second opinion, keep a copy - never give up your copy. Keep copies of everything that supports your position.

If you can afford to hire an attorney, do so!

Thank you again for the answer. It is very hard to get the real answer around here.

I'm still fighting for MEB, and patient advocacy said that if i get positive opinion from neural sergeon offpost, thats gonna be 2 specialty doctor's agreement for my back issue,

i might able to do something from that.

But yeah thanks again. i will keep the copy all the time.

I will be seeing TDS tmrw and see what they can do

It's not hard getting answers around here you are having a hard time understanding the crossroads you are at. A MEB is not entirely up to you, you are upset that the commander said no that your doctors are saying no I'm not entirely convinced that your self-reports are substantiated by your clinical notes but you are getting another opinion I believe this is your last shot.

I've visited with a number of "crazy" people over the years that actually had serious physical problems. Sometimes it is difficult to parse between all the possibilities. When there are conflicting medical opinions; medics, not command ought to parse out what is what. WHEN a medic has the DUTY to advise command AND there are multiple medical opinions; he should convey the entire sight picture!
