Hey ya’ll. I’m an Army Surgeon at 22 yrs who has just started the MEB process for asthma (and a host of other conditions). I was diagnosed with asthma on active duty and stable for 21 yrs until COVID on my 9th deployment. So far my impression from the intake is that as long as I have a pulse and my surgical credentials I will be found “fit” and this process is an exercise in futility. I’ve paid back my initial education time but still have 2 yrs of ADSO. Curious to see if anyone has been through or seen this situation before. I was told by the IDES team I’m more likely to find a unicorn than another doc who’s been medically discharged.
