June Timeline on Lejeune

I also had about 10
I am guessing the number of conditions can effect case length. I had 34 because my lawyer basically did a head to toe screening with me and told me to list every little thing, Seperate by body part, condition, etc even if not treated. His reasoning was even if its not rated by the VA now if it gets worse in the future its automatically service related because I listed it here, so I am thinking that may delay mine.

15 I think maybe 14... my case was accepted September 28th so after seeing other people's timelines I'm hoping to hear something by the end of this month or next month
I was told by my PEBLO just a few minutes ago that I was found "unfit" back on the 10th of October. Don't think she would have told me had I not reached out again... but it's all waiting on the VA now. Which I was told has "ready for decision" on the 7th of October.

Just scheduled an appointment on the 15th with VERA. Apparently they will tell you more about your claim than the VA hotline. Will let you guys know what they say, hopeful for findings next week.

I just got off the phone with VERA and she told me that my claim was assigned to a rater on Nov 9th. I think that means the DoD is done with their part? Does anybody know the actual sequence of events? Im tracking Va exams to the DoD then back to the Va for rating then DoD and back to PEBLO. Or am I completely wrong here?

what im aware of is that once the DOD finds you unfit they send it to the VA for ratings once the VA is done with ratings they will send it back to the DOD (PEBLO) and thats when youll be contacted by your PEBLO to recieve the results and sign off on everything.

That is correct, talked to my VA rep last week. He said in October the process changed. It used to go “VA, DOD, VA”
Now the Dod finds you unfit, then it goes to the VA for ratings, they give the dod a proposed rating and that’s what your dod rating is for the specific event that happened. And then the VA will have the whole proposed rating. Therefore our process just doubled in time and we should add on 2-4 months of waiting time. Don’t you just love the military.

Well fml... I hope mine was almost done before this BS started lol. The previous timeline should have had my results just before Christmas.

Yeah mine was sent to the VA on October 7th. I’ll keep you guys updated. But with the holidays coming. I don’t see it happening until after December maybe even February. As shitty as it sounds.

This is false info it takes more than 2 months for the VA to come up with a rating. More than likely you wont be out until march or MAY

I have no clue where you guys are getting these timelines.. the last guy to post his full IDES timeline had his ratings a little over a month from when his case was accepted to the PEB. Its all dependent on how many things you've claimed.

What I was told from a VA rep as well, was if the VA has sent their proposed ratings to the DoD, they can also email them to you - but you have to call and ask for it. Meaning, once the rating is sent to the DoD, and you happen to call and they tell you that the ratings have been sent, they can email you the proposed ratings as well that way you can have some heads up of what to expect during the few weeks it'll take to prepare the package and mail it to you or inform your PEBLO.

Seems like a bit of luck involved in that one, but if you just so happen to find yourself in that situation, its worth a shot for some peace of mind.

Well it’s been actually with the VA since July. But it got sent back to the VA, I was in step 6 or 5. Secondary rate. Then in October it got taken back to Ides then sent back. I was found unfit

Legal breif early June (7th maybe?)
Va claim date June 21st
Referred to peb for action June 23rd
Last c&p Exam July 1st
Accepted by peb for action August 17th

Va claim dissappeared couple weeks ago, told me they still see the claim though and are waiting on peb now.

I called my Peblo today and was told no update. 2 Marines in my unit got their findings recently. One was "accepted by peb for action" early August, he got his findings today (Oct 24 2022). The other was accepted the same day as me (August 17) and got his findings last week. My Peblo said hes seen a few go through recently. Heres to hoping.
Since we had essentially the same timeline, here's an update I got yesterday.

The VA completed a proposed rating on the 27th of NOV and was sent to the PEB on the same day. From there, once the PEB reviews it, the PEBLO and I will be sent the findings. I don't think it's supposed to take long for the PEB to review - but maybe yours is along the same lines then too.

I was told by the VA they proposed a rating and sent it to the PEB on the 17th. Still haven't heard anything else.
