Proposed ratings: TBD (The VA is in the decision making phase of my claim as of 15 MAY 2023)

Thus far, my process has been incredibly swift and painless, however your mileage may vary. Happy to answer any questions you have!

I'm give or take about 2 weeks ahead of you in the process, mine has been moving fast as well. Just waiting on the PEB to return their ratings and sign my 199. What I've read on here is that the PEB takes about 10-20 days to return their ratings after they receive the proposed ratings from the VA. Glad to see other cases getting through the gridlock!

Good stuff man, I'm incredibly blessed that my MEB has moved as quickly as it has, other guys in my company who went through the process took a year or more to finish and final out. Really hit or miss in terms of how long your case is I suppose; having a good PEBLO has definitely helped me out

My claims recently closed on the VA app as well as of 22 May, just waiting for the 199... Please do update us when you get that 199! :)

Does the decision making phase mean that I have been found unfit I have called the Va and they said that I am in the decision making phase. The PEBLO has told me that I have been found unfit

Yeah as far as I know you’re unfit, especially since your PEBLO said it as well. How long ago did you sign your NARSUM?

I signed my NARSUM on April 28th however my PEBLO doesn’t know if I was found unfit. I had to call the VA to find out what phase my claim was at

Man you must not have a great PEBLO, mine has filled me in on everything that’s going on with my case. As far as I’m aware the VA won’t bother rating you if you’re fit for duty as it means you’ll be returned to duty. So that’s a good sign if you’re hoping to be separated/retired. I signed my NARSUM on the 10th of May and I should get my DA 199 next week or so; the VA should be closing your case soon
