Can anybody tell me how to check my CRSC packet status for the U.S. Army? I've tried following the directions provided in other threads but the links provided no longer work.

I just want to verify that they received my packet and see what stage it's at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How was it sent? My wife got a confirmation email that her packet was received by HRC about 2 weeks after she sent it via snail mail.

I sent it to the email address [email protected].

I've read that there's a way to check online but the links provided no longer work (I think the thread was from about 2 years ago).

Oh and I sent it on May 30th so it's been longer than 2 weeks...

Should have gotten an email. I got an email the day after they received it. Then I got the 60 day email. Setup a DOD account and should be able to access opens, there are options to select yes for notifications regarding CRSC. Should get emails as it goes thru the process. They are saying 120 working days on average which is far better than the 18 month nonsense the Navy thinks is acceptable.

They hadn't received it because the file was bigger than 3 MB.

Are these people kidding with this BS?

10MB is the max I’ve seen for Army - how big are your attachments ? If 10MB or bigger, you can break up your attachments into multiple emails using Last, First, Last 4, email 1 of …, 2 of …, etc. If ONE attachment is larger than 10MB, PM me and I can work with you to reduce the size of it so it can be emailed with no problems

Well that stinks, I am sorry.

Advise Just snail mail. Without pki encryption or some other encryption scheme it’s not really secure. Your packet likely has PII and therefore is CUI and should be protected. I spoke with a CRSC customer service about a “secure means” to send it in and couldn’t really land on a solution.

My advice, just snail mail. It’s about $10 priority mail. They received my packet and the next day I got the email confirmation of receipt.
I didn’t want to email because you are transmitting sensitive personal and medical information that should be encrypted and there really isn’t a viable means to do such outside the DOD and CRSC mailbox. I even asked about PKI exchange, DOD safe. Encrypted zip files. Encrypted PDFs.

Again just mail it. Will add at most 5 days . Mine took about 4 counting the email confirmation. I understand printing may be a challenge. Get with a VSO. The VSOs should help with a CRSC claim. Could also use one of those shipping places that does printing.

Yes it would be easier for everyone if like the VA they had an electronic form. Took the VA forever to get that going. They just started a few years ago allowing BVA appeals to be submitted electronically. They could easily setup a secure online form and attachment option, but that would take capital investments the services likely don’t have interest in. Even though such would result in long term savings not having a staff have to open mail, scan in documents, whatever other administrative functions, saving of few hundred thousand a year that would pay for the online platform. etcetera etcetera.
Sorry I have an extensive IT background. Know how these things work, and know how archaic the DOD can be with their IT systems and lack of investment.

It was 23 MB. I just faxed it and mailed a copy. What really pisses me off is that they weren't even going to TELL me that my claim hadn't been submitted. I would have just sat here for 6 months just wondering why I never heard anything.

I think their email attachment has a limit probably 10-20 MBs, so honestly they may not have known what you sent and just got a rejection message. Should they post size limit on the site for attachments. Yes. Wouldn’t hurt.
