    Army issues

Have you talked to your commander? Chaplin? PCM would be the start normally but I know recruiting is a bit different since you may be on Tricare Prime Remote meaning you don't have a PCM local to ask about profiles.

    Retirement Pay Calculations

You will need to ask HRC or whoever issued the orders to clarify. Chances are they missed the Reserve stuff since you are currently on active duty.

    AGR medical question

So there has been a huge debate on if you can get there by points but we have seen it go both ways. How many AFS? Are you close enough to be able to apply for your regular active duty retirement? That would be the safest way to go! I would keep my head down and apply for retirement assuming...

    Advice On Findings from IPEB?

To add another unfitting condition you would need to request a FPEB. To increase the rating of a condition that was already found unfit is a VARR and yes you can do both!

    Advice On Findings from IPEB?

Have you consulted JAG? Do you have any conditions that you can appeal to add as unfitting? Is your 10% unfitting condition properly rated? Getting 30% DOD is massive! Not just for tricare but because then if medically retired you can apply for CRSC and any money lost due to the VA offset of...

Guard/Reserve entering DES with existing VA Rating

LDES has the most risk. LDES does not require your branch to follow the VA ratings guidelines. If they under rate you then its even worse as LDES doesn't have the same protections to include the amount and quality of appeals. If you already have ratings for all of your VA ratings and want to...

Referred to FFD for recurrent Rhabdomyolysis

Why was Ortho the one to resicnd? That sounds like a bone related issue. I would think internal medicine would submit the P3 paperwork which would trigger the FFD exam. I would seek treatment and try to stay on a profile. My guess is that your kidneys are now working fine or good enough...

Referred to FFD for recurrent Rhabdomyolysis

Are you Reserves? If so, you commander can write a memo stating that you should attend a fit for duty exam. That way ortho couldn't block it.

Won a 10 year case with the Board with the help of NVSLP

Tricare is amazing! I always go with Tricare select. That way I don't have a PCM gatekeeper. There are co pays but if used as secondary insurance you probably won't need to pay any. It's $38 per doc visit. $50 for specialist. Can see whoever you want even out of network though if you out...

Won a 10 year case with the Board with the help of NVSLP

I don't think you are allowed to go the CHAMPVA route anymore now that you are medically retired. Also, might be a mess going forward since its retro. Tricare should have picked up the tab and not CHAMPVA during the time the retroactive medical retirement covered.

Won a 10 year case with the Board with the help of NVSLP

So have you been getting VA pay during this whole time? If so, then it may be all that is owed to you. Any VA compensation received will offset a medical retirement pension. So for most getting medically retired via retro ABCMR means getting tricare. No leftover pension due to VA offset...

Career Intermission Program - Medically Unfit

So they can definitely do that due to your status of being on IRR. That's the risk with these programs. They can claim the condition was preexisting and happened while on IRR and then administratively kick you out. The VA uses totally different standards. The bar for medical retirement or...

    IPEB and VARR (Navy, Hawaii)

Its very much worth it to do a VARR on an unfitting condition to raise not only our DOD% but also to move your total VA%. My wife did that even when her DOD% was maxed out because she needed one condition to go from 30% to 50% to change her VA % from 90% to 100%. It helped a ton because that...

    CRSC question

Has no bearing on CRSC. Sounds like you need to look up each thing and get back to the basics. VA is completely separate from CRSC as a form of entitlement and pay. It's tax free too.

    CRSC question

BTW if you are legacy and 2.5% per year then its 20%. 20% of 4,080 = $816 so that would be the max amount instead and then you might need 50% CRSC to max out compensation. Also, you get the lower of the 2 so if 10% CRSC then you get that amount instead. Its the CRSC pay using VA pay tables up...

    CRSC question

So CRSC is there to claw back part of the VA offset tax free up to the amount you lose out on. So a lot depends on your service. Since you have about 8 years of service if on the new plan that is 2% for year that's 16% of your HIGH 3. That's how much your earned pension was worth before...

    Chronic IBD/Proctosigmoiditis/Ulcerative Colitis

Already talked to you via PM but encourage you to search this board for people with UC chrohns etc. Also look up symptoms and ratings for the VA for those conditions. That will most likely end up being your DOD% since the MEB uses the VA to rate the conditions. Then any condition that is...

    Approval CRSC Question

Well said @iamthewalrus016 !!! For those who have earned a regular retirement with 20 or more AFS those people are maxed out regardless of other earned retirements such as chapter 61. You can't get more than the combination of your earned longevity AKA regular retirement + VA compensation. So...
