I don't know how you guys never get tired of this...I did it on the website but the number I got back ($641.90) seems too high. Also, I'm not sure how they'd calculate active duty time. I read that if you're a reservist (I was) they take your total number of points and divide it by 365. My total number of points is 1996. 1996/365 = 5.468493 years (5 years, 5 months, 21 days).

But on my retirement orders it says "Disability Retirement: 4 years, 7 months, 11 days".

And on my final DD-214, it says "Total Prior Active Service: 3 years, 7 months, 15 days".

Do you guys know which calculation they'll use?

Moving along;

Gross Pay on RAS: $2,801.00
DOD Disability: 50%
VA Disability: 100% P&T
VA Pay (0 dependents): $3,831.30
CRSC Percentage I'm expecting: 70% until March 2023, 80% from then on (either amount is fine with me, if there's even a difference)

No difference if you are maxed out by getting the value of your longevity pension. For reserves the calculation is divide points by 360 to get equivalent days, months & years for calculating the value of your pension.

Its pretty common for your branch to screw up the calculations. My wife's is off by almost 1% for her earned longevity calculation and would net her $75 more a month of CRSC but it would take a ABCMR to get it fixed. Probably going to do it but it is going to take a lot of time and effort just to fix the HRC's screwup.

So with the corrected longevity (assuming they do it right - fingers crossed), it would be 5.54444444 or 5 years, 6 months, 16 days. With the info above what would be my monthly?

AD Time: 5 years, 6 months, 16 days
Gross Pay on RAS: $2,801.00
DOD Disability: 50%
VA Disability: 100% P&T
VA Pay (0 dependents): $3,831.30

i get 770

No BRS for me, I was retired in 2014.
So its pretty easy to calculate the value of your pension. 5.5 years times 2.5% = 13.75% of your high 3. High 3 is $5,602 times 13.75% =$770.28. That is the same numbers that @edwards7986 came up with. That is the most you can get via CRSC as that amount will make you whole by getting all of your VA compensation and all of the value of your earned pension. So using VA charts if your CRSC % is higher than that amount you will hit the max payout of $770 and if your CRSC increases that won't affect anything.

Hey everyone,

Would you please help me with a CRSC calculation?

AD Time: 16 years, 7 months
High Three Pay: 8,614.29
Gross Pay on RAS: $6030.00
DOD Disability: 70%
VA Disability: 100% P&T
VA Pay (5 dependents): $4,519.77
CRSC Percentage awarded: 60%

around 1800, calculator says around 1400, but doesnt account for dependents, and this is an issue because your pay is capped by your award and not years of service portion.
