Thought id post this here, I've seen a few people post about crohn's but not a lot of current posts for liver disease's. Im AD airforce TIS 6 yrs, E-4 Mafia member, AFSC 2A6X4 (Aircraft Fuel System Tech)
I got diagnosed aug 2022 with PSC (Primary sclerosing cholangitis) a couple weeks later I went back to the ER with bloody stools and severe abdominal pain subsequently diagnosed with crohn's. I've been on Remicade since Dec 2022, my PCM took his time in filing my stuff for an MEB, due to me being on biological treatment i required a MEB. Remicade didn't work for a while my GI said that he wanted me to stay on Remicade till he can be sure it doesn't work. From Dec 2022 to May 2023 my condition was so bad I would go to sick call at least 2-3 times a week. My liver disease affects my Bile ducts requiring me to be hospitalized ever 2-3 months. Below is my timeline if you have any questions or have any advice for me please let me know.
Conditions: PSC, Crohn's, MH condition - Depressive disorder due to another medical condition with depressive features with anxious distress
CIS- 7/20/23 - Do not retain
IRILO- 7/27/23 - Full MEB
MSC - 8/11/23 - VA brief
First C&P - 8/31/23 - First C&P
Last C&P - 12/30/23 - Last C&P
MEB came back - 1/12/24
MEB package sent to IPEB - 1/16/24
And now I'm waiting for my IPEB results to come back. I'm manly stressed about not getting medically retired. But well see hopefully soon.
