How can I find out if I’m eligible for CRSC. I was medically retired at 13 1/2 years and it shows combat related on my DD214. I have my CMB and multiple combat deployments. I am 100% on the VA side and 70% on the Army side. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hello,

Eligibility
To qualify for CRSC you must:

--be entitled to and/or receiving military retired pay

--be rated at least 10 percent by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA)

--waive the amount of VA compensation from your retired pay (i.e., your retired pay is reduced by amount of VA compensation)

--file a CRSC application with your Branch of Service

Disabilities that may be considered combat related include injuries incurred as a direct result of:

--Armed Conflict

--Hazardous Duty

--An Instrumentality of War

--Simulated War

You posted in the Richard Starr Act thread:
So since I only did 13 1/2 years does that mean I’m not eligible for retirement pay I would assume?

If you had a 30% or more DoD disability rate (not VA), you are a Chapter 61 retiree and eligible for retirement pay. It would be offset by the amount of the VA compensation.

Did you have time to review all the info I gave you earlier? It is re-posted in this thread.
