Looking for help with a Chapter 61 CRSC estimate (less than 20 years AD)

I'm a MAJ in the Reserves with 22 "good years" (and a 20 year letter) and several OIF / OEF deployments.

I got my PEB back today for two conditions (70% & 50%) for a DOD total of 90% and Permanent Disability Retirement List. I've been 100% P&T from the VA for a couple years already.

The 70% is V1/V3 (direct combat related) with lots of paperwork showing the combat related nature -- feel pretty confident that I can get at least 70% from CRSC ... the second condition at 50% is secondary to the first condition, but no codes in the initial PEB ... so I'm looking to figure out a ballpark estime of CRSC looking to see if there's any use of trying to get that added...?

1. Gross retired Pay: $6,750 (90% of High-3 at $9,000 - O-4 w 22 Years)
2.Residual Pay: $2,235 ($6,750 - $4,515 [100% P&T VA w/ 6 dependents]
3 .DOD Disability: 90%
4. VA Compensation: $4,515 (100% P&T for VA, married with 5 kids under 18 -- no SMCs)
5. AD equivalent: 11 Years (3,961 pts)
6.Estimate of CRSC %: 70% CRSC ... (or possibly 90%)
7. Blended retirement: NO

Thanks!

Hello,

Chapter 61 CRSC estimate (less than 20 years AD)

Need:
1. Gross retired pay from DFAS RAS. This is an amount before the VA offset (amount of VA comp) and other deductions.
Alternative: Average high three base pay.
2. Residual retired pay. Amount of retired pay remaining after reduction in the amount of VA comp received.
3. DoD Disability percentage (found on retirement orders).
4. VA compensation:
a. Percentage
b. Amount including SMCs
c. Dependents by category and number in each
5. Active duty equivalent. This is found on the retirement orders under DISABILITY RETIREMENT .
6. Approved CRSC percentage .
7. Blended retirement program, YES or NO

Ron

edited to add: Just noticed that much or all the info was in your post.

I will look a it later tonight. @Provis might field your question before that.

1. Gross retired Pay: $6,750 (90% of High-3 at $9,000 - O-4 w 22 Years) Comment: 9000 hi 3 x 75% max = 6750 retired pay
2.Residual Pay: $2,235 ($6,750 - $4,515 [100% P&T VA w/ 6 dependents] Comment: OK
3 .DOD Disability: 90% Comment: 75% is max used
4. VA Compensation: $4,515 (100% P&T for VA, married with 5 kids under 18 -- no SMCs)
5. AD equivalent: 11 Years (3,961 pts) Comment: ok
6.Estimate of CRSC %: 70% CRSC ... (or possibly 90%)

Thanks

See above in BOLD.
11.0 AD equivalent x 2.5% =27.50% longevity multipler
9000 hi 3 x 27.50% = 2475 longevity portion of retired pay
2475 longevity minus 2235 residual = 240 CRSC

DFAS WILL PAY
—2465 residual
and
—240 CRSC
BASED ON INFO PROVIDED
