CRSC Probability? Is it tough to get?

The tear in my L4/5 disc occurred as a result of the MATV I was driving in Afghanistan providing over watch for a convoy, rolling down a hill after the ground gave way. I was knocked unconscious from slamming the left side of my head into the bullet proof glass as we tumbled down the hill, but only briefly, or so I am told. Our HMC corroborates this injury, as well as the physical work up I did upon returning from this deployment. However, my headaches, add, sleep issues did not occur until several years later. How do I tie all or any of these together under CRSC? Still active rn, but will likely be on a MEB before May as my back as not improved, its getting worse - even after a L4/5 fusion - my headaches/migraines require a prescription that's over $100 a pill and require sleep med and CPAP...lol im a mess.

Hello,

It appears that you have posted the same info in at least two threads.

Here is a copy of my reply to your first comments on the subject:

Hello,

Re: DoD 7000.14-R Financial Management Regulation Volume 7B, Chapter 63
Here is a link to 6306 DETERMINATIONS OF COMBAT-RELATEDNESS which was referenced above. LINK <----

I agree with Chaplaincharlie's assessment, but I have never served on a CRSC board. [added later: The reply was directed to another retiree.]

I have no knowledge of how to weave the things together that you mentioned. There is no manual available to the public that outlines the processes of a board.
There is no penalty for submitting a CRSC application that includes a disability that is not approved by the board. However, for a disability to be approved, the retiree must be receiving VA compensation for it.

Here is a collection of CRSC info including links to the CRSC pages of each service: LINK <----

You posted in two threads. His answer was in your first.

I believe he said he thought your CRSC chances, based on what you posted, is a long shot.
