I medically retired in March 2019 after 15 years of active service. Deployed to Kuwait, Qatar x2 and Afghanistan. I just recently found out about CRSC. I have submitted CRSC application two weeks ago. I applied for the following injuries and illness after researching all the qualifying criteria.
1. Adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood (also claimed as insomnia and sleep disturbances).(Golf war presumptive) ?
2. Obstructive sleep apnea and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (claimed as difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath). (Golf war presumptive)
3. Chronic pancreatitis, cholelithiasis, hiatal hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis and spastic colitis (also claimed as calculus of gallbladder, gallbladder disease, fatigue, gastroenteritis, diaphragmatic hernia, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer, and hematochezia). (Golf war presumptive)
4. Migraine headaches. (Golf War Presumptive. Medically documented as having been exposed to fuel)
5. Cervical spine degenerative disc disease (claimed as neck condition). (Injury occurred during ADA readiness drill in Kuwait 2006 Medically documented)
6.lumbosacral strain and kyphosis (claimed as back condition). (Injury occurred during ADA readiness drill in Kuwait 2006 Medically documented)

What do you all think? Thank you in advance!

Hello,

“Presumptively caused by…” diseases approved by the VA are generally approved for CRSC.

Your CRSC will be the lesser of the longevity portion of your retired or the amount associated with the approved CRSC percentage (amount found in VA comp tables). See the following for additional CRSC information: Collection of CRSC information LINK <—-

I applied for shortness of breath, ibs for the GW presumptive condition, and I was awarded it. So you have a real good chance of getting approved. Good luck

I applied for migraines , but didn’t get approved for it. But, I would still apply worst thing they can do is deny you.

Migraine is on the presumptive list for sure for GW. I also applied for IBS and sleep disturbance, but for some reason on my rating sheet it's worded as ''irritable colon syndrome (spastic colitis, mucous colitis, etc.)'' I did some research and I think IBS and Irritable colon syndrome are the same thing. and the sleep disturbance is included with MH rating as "Chronic sleep impairment". It's been 28 days since they received it, but I have not heard anything yet.

If your army, you should check the HRC portal website, there’s a retiree /veteran icon, click on that and then documents. You’ll see your approval letter there faster then getting it in the mail. I saw my approval on line about 2 months ago and just got my approval letter in the mail last week.

So what was your outcome?
