Current Time Line A/D USMC

Got my new EAS this morning, 14 days after signing. Retiring Nov 29.
Did you sell leave or plan on taking terminal? Are you requesting 10 days of PTAD? I'm sitting at 84 days of leave right now. Seeing your retirement date is 27 days that doesn't leave much time for terminal/leave on your end? I'm going to try requesting a specific EAS date to take my terminal/PTAD.

Thats a good point, I have been planning on selling my leave back but so far I dont think i have seen anyone sell it back, only people taking terminal.

Should rate 20 days of PTAD right?

Has anyone received a different VA rating at the end of the process than their proposed rating? My proposed is 90% which is awesome, but at the same time makes me feel cheated. My doctors say my referring condition alone should give me 100%..

First off, welcome. Proposed ratings arent official but they seem to tend to be around that range. There is no definitive way to know until things are done, but you can always challenge it or claim other conditions once you separate. In my case my shoulder clicking isnt normal and has gotten worse which was pointed out during my QTC exams. Doc noted it and told me flat out to claim it once im out.

Also if you take terminal AND PTAD together in one go with no breaks in between and are staying local then you can get your DD214 earlier
damn this might work out in my favor. If I can get out by December a contractor job is opening where I work now in December so I could just start working with them right off the bat.

Im not taking PTAD (I rate it) due to only having 15 business days this month to get out, have too much to do. I have 3 days of leave and am just selling them for the same reason.

I had a pretty good idea a when I started IDES October last year how exiting would go and since Im single Ive just taken leave every month since to burn it. Getting me a much, much closer EAS date. Which works in my favor since I start school in January.

Edit: Experiences may vary, my command is cool with me taking leave whenever so it worked out in my case.

It’s 10 days of you get medically separated. If retired you get 10 house hunting and 10 Job hunting. So 20 total that can be combined, but per instruction it includes the weekends, so you cannot add to it.

Talked with PEBLO just now, more depressing news. My case was sent up May 6th and accepted July 2nd. I am at 78 days with the medical officer today, he said that most cases he has seen back a have been at 130 days minimum with the medical officer. My case has been at the PEB for 126 days so i should be around 160 days total when I get my shit back. If I'm at 78 days and were hoping for 130, that means I'm at least 50 days out, meaning my estimated date is now closer to the end of December, pushing that to January because of the holidays. If i get my dates back in January and have two months till my new EAS, I will have been in LDES for 10 months total. Fuck.

im in the same boat. Mine went up 27 July. Talked to my PEBLO today and she said its probably another 1.5 months or so till i get my findings. Im at about 72 days with the MO.

The PEB hasn't sent findings to my PEBLO yet but today he informed me that the PEB found me unfit on 8 November.
My case was sent to the PEB on 14 May but didn't land in the medical officer queue until 23 June. So 178 days at the PEB and 138 days in the medical officer queue before being found unfit. Been in the rating officer queue for 4 days as of today. Will update the forum once the PEB sends everything back to my PEBLO.

Congrats man!! So the waiting does actually come to an end?

Received my findings today. 185 days at the PEB, 138 days in the medical officer queue, and 7 days with the rating officer.
Congrats! Hope your finding were as expected, if you don’t mind, we’re your ratings the same as your proposed findings?

Findings were what I expected. Unfit with disability severance pay. VA rating is still proposed (same letter I received back in June) but I don't think my proposed rating will go down once the VA finalizes my claim.
