Current Time Line A/D USMC

Hello everyone,

i am new and I am trying to see if anyone has a similar timeline to me.

signed my package: 20210422
PEB accepted package: 20210520

I’m at 153 days and counting for some answers. Thanks
A lot of folks on here with similar timelines. My case went to the PEB on 14 May and I haven't received findings yet. One person on this forum received their findings today and their case went up on 10 May. I've heard of other cases sent to the PEB between 26 April and 3 May receiving findings this week and last week. Really tough to forecast a timeline but people are getting findings so hopefully more mid and late May cases will start to receive findings over the next 3 weeks.

I thought it was absolutely odd that on the FB group a female Marine was approved for this but had just had her case sent to the PEB like a month or two prior. There isn’t a whole lot of info I’ve been able to find and I decided to not even attempt it after my command told me to fuck off about wounded warrior.
Information I shared concerning home awaiting orders was not accurate. I was reading from a dated version of the MARCORSEPMAN and the HQMC Outbound Seps page does not reflect changes found in the current version of the MARCORSEPMAN. Additionally, the MCO for leave and liberty does not reflect changes in how home awaiting orders requests are managed because it has not been updated since the MARCOSEPMAN was updated. There were some changes to how home awaiting orders are processed and that is outlined in MCO 1900.16 CH2 (MARCORSEPMAN) dated 15 Feb 2019. I've attached the order for reference.

I called MMSR-4 today and they verified that the HQMC Outbound Seps page and the MCO for leave and liberty do no properly reflect changes to home awaiting orders requests that can be found in MCO 1900.16 CH2 (MARCORSEPMAN) dated 15 Feb 2019.

A Marine can be sent home awaiting orders while they wait for PEB findings. I was told this directly from MMSR-4. However, that request must be approved by MMSR-4. Additionally, as other members of this forum have stated, there is an incredibly vague statement about a potential negative impact on pay/leave and reception of VA benefits with no additional information on how to avoid those issues.

"As this practice frequently creates problems with pay, leave and delivery of VA benefits, only cases of unusual hardship should be forwarded to the CMC (MMSR-4) for consideration."

8304. DISPOSITION OF PERSONNEL AWAITING FINAL DETERMINATION OF PHYSICAL DISABILITY (HOME AWAITING ORDERS) 1. Only the CMC (MMSR-4) may authorize sending Marines “home awaiting orders” for final disability determination. As this practice frequently creates problems with pay, leave and delivery of VA benefits, only cases of unusual hardship should be forwarded to the CMC (MMSR-4) for consideration. See

and

c. Ensures that no Marine referred to or pending before the PEB is discharged, retired, or sent home awaiting orders without CMC approval.

sorry for the confusion. I will be coordinating with appropriate persons to get the HQMC outbound seps page and the MCO for leave and liberty updated so they both accurately reflect what is found in the current version of the MARCORSEPMAN.

Could the fact that the PEB has 5000 cases be considered “unusual hardship”

IT SHOULD! There is no reason why we should have to keep submitting for extensions for this crap to finish. I just got an e-mail from IPAC today telling me I need to turn in a bunch of documents before I go on terminal leave because my EAS is in 10 days and my MOL has yet to reflect my new EAS after signing my extension 3 weeks ago. Granted I have no idea on the status of my extension because my admin shop is top notch. At this point if it's November 1st and my EAS hasn't updated on MOL I wont even be able to come to work because I wont have credentials to enter the gate to our facility and our security will not let me in because my access badge expired with my CAC and I can't get a new CAC without an updated EAS. This Med Board process has all the perks!

Sounds like everyone’s getting shafted pretty much. I would apply for it if it wasn’t for the pay and benefits potentially being screwed up. I don’t trust admin to not make a mistake with it.

If they can't handle routing an extension to the CO then to IPAC I don't trust them to handle something that is rarely requested.

Pretty much my thoughts. For something that is rarely done I assure you it will get screwed up.

Unrelated to the comments above, I spoke to my PEBLO today, nothing new. I only call him once a month and he still seems like its such an inconvenience for him. Either way he said that 4 cases came back to his office last week which is the most in one week that he's seen since covid. He said hopefully this means that it is all speeding up andI hear back in the, you guessed it next 4 to 6 weeks. I have literally heard him say 4-6 weeks like 6 times. Getting so worn out checking all the time, but I just want to be done so bad. 169 days today.

Yeah man, I just don’t understand why the hell this system is so jacked up. Trying to stay optimistic, but I have lost faith in this process and the system. I’m ready to move on with my life (I’m sure everyone is)!

PEB report as of Tuesday
This is awesome! How did you get it? Can you please post it whenever you get it? The Marines at Camp Lejeune keep getting the run around by our PEBLOs so this is seriously helpful.

I got it from a FB group, if they post a new one next week, I'll post it
What is the group? I'd like to join.

I have a couple questions about that spreadsheet:

1- What is the difference in the Medical Officer and the Presiding Officer?
2- What does the status of "Screening Ready-Digi Cases"?

The board consists of 2 members. The medical officer and the presiding officer. If one says fit but the other says unfit and they can't agree, a third officer is brought in to be a tie breaker.

That's when the case is scanned at the PEBLOs office and sent to PEB, waiting the PEB admin to review the package before going to the medical officer
Off topic, mine was submitted July 15th but I chose LDES. Think there's any chance we hear anything before the end of the year?

Please God let this be true.
