Findings... now what?

My husband's board came back with a 60% disability rating. What happens now? When can we reasonably expect him to be out of the Army? They are telling us within 90 days but no specific dates yet and everything seems to have taken a year longer than they tell us.

Congrats on the rating. Was he put on the PDRL or TDRL? 90 days is a good estimate (that is the max though, you can be out in less than that depending on the paperwork and when he selects his retirment day.

He's on TDRL. We'll take it. Just after I posted this he got his final out date but apparently that's up for some negotiation.

Congratulations! I hope all goes well in retirement. My advice to all TDRL retirees is to remember the re-evaluation and continue to document the condition (either through doctor's appointments, treatment notes, work or other documentation about ability to function). Also, remember to file for VA benefits.
