Heed my story folks...

Ok so I thought everything was going so well for me, I was going to find out today what my ratings were and move on.
Come to find out that I received 100% from the VA but was found fit by the Army after initially being found unfit.

[Edited by Jason Perry at request of poster].
I'll keep you updated, but be careful out there guys. If someone takes a picture of you at the grocery store, you made be found fit for going outside.

This is one of the most maddening stories I've seen on this website. I wanna beat their ass FOR you! That's so immature and pathetic of them. If someone is about to be discharged, what's the point of trying to fuck them over if they are going their separate way, when you're never going to see them again? They're trying to throw a wrench in your plans because they don't want you to be free and out of the military while being financially stable. I have an explosive temper so I would have genuinely beat their asses for doing that lol. Such bullshit. They have no lives. Who has time to gather photo evidence and lie/snitch on a coworker to their PEB?

Your story just makes me so mad because I know that if I had social media, my command would have found 12 billion ways to fuck me over somehow. I also love the furthest out of everyone I work with, so if they try to take take pics of me somewhere, they're going to be wasting a shit ton of gas just to spy on me. lol

Are you taking legal action against them? I sure hope you are.

It just doesn't add up. Who pulled the photo if you? Also why did they go this route?

First close your FB to everyone or delete it. You have zero freinds until you are PDRL. Second lawyer up. Saying your golf outing happened on a certain day is pure speculation. Third, the name on the golf course roster could have easily been written in by any hater unless it it your payroll signature and a handwriting expert says so. All of this seems like inadmissible nonsense to me but I'm no lawyer. You need to get a lawyer and quick. And a quality one. The results will effect your income for the rest of your life. In the future trust nobody and keep your medical info close hold.

Anybody who tries to fuck with your money, ain't your friend. Keep work related social interactions to a minimum until you're officially discharged.

Your lawyer could argue that the golf picture was taken months or years before while you were well and that your name in the roster could have been written by anyone.

attitude era this sucks but it is human nature. People are jealous of each other for little or no reason. I recently met a lady in her 60s in the supermarket who asked me what I do for a living, I told her I was retired... She proclaimed in shock and loud enough for others to hear and embarrass me "you aren't old enough to be retired". I brushed it off because who wants to start an arguement with a grandma right?

And to the original poster, seriously lawyer up man!!! Whoever the F did this to you violated HIPPA. Nobody in your command should have known jack shit about your condition!

lol ew. I woulda said, "Sorry I played my cards right and know how to manage my money well enough to retire early".

Can this happen after your ratings are presented in writing? I would agree many haters out there with the "if I gotta do 20 to be retired, then so should everybody" attitude.

Sad to say but a lot of fellow Soldiers who you served with may tend to resent you're being medically retired or separated. When a unit goes out of its way to find "dirt" on one of their Soldiers in an attempt to rob them of benefits and compensation when a Soldier is injured, that unit has a serious deficiency of honor and integrity.

Get a lawyer, no one even remotely associated with the command should be trusted until you have gotten through this. Hopefully someone with a higher pay grade than those that went on this snipe hunt will put a quick stop to this and return a fair and just finding.

Jason, was there not a policy banning the use of social media information?

Mike

Yes, there was an explicit policy memo on this point. It is a few years old (and not sure if it was ever rescinded). I am looking for it and will post if I can locate it.
