This is has been extremely tasking to my mental health, which ironically is one of the reasons I’m being boarded. 23 years old, can’t walk without a cane, lift more than 10-15lbs, or bend.
Referred: January 2024
PEBLO picked up case: April 2024
Exams (first round): June 4-5
Second round exams: August 19
Exam findings: September 2024.
Required a second round of examiners because my original mental health examiner quit and never submitted my DQBs.
I submitted a rebuttal the same day to the findings, and have not had a single update since September. The PEBLO has been less than helpful, and the only information I can seem to get is “when I hear something I’ll let you know”.
My mental health DBQs were perfect. My physical DQBs however, were the complete opposite of what I need. The examiner (first of all, I’m a man being separated for my back, and they sent me to a gynecologist) put that I have complete range of motion, nothing is wrong with me whatsoever. The things she did acknowledge, she copy pasted the “clearly and unmistakably prior to service” bullshit. Including the 2 surgical procedures I have had done by the military.
I guess my question is, how worried should I be. Am I going to be basically starting over for a third time due to the incompetence of someone else? Or will the VA give me the benefit of the doubt and go based off my extensive medical record, command NMAs, and my personal memorandums?
