IPEB hasnt sent unfit to the VA

Good morning yall,
Hoping someone could offer me insight on what tree i need to shake to keep the process moving forward. My case timeline for the IPEB is below:
Nov 18 2024: IPEB submitted, MyFSS email received
Nov 22 2024: IPEB found unfit (per what My peblo can see)
Dec 30th 2024: called the VA to see if there's any guess on when I might hear everything back, they said they are just waiting on the IPEBs fit/unfit decision

I've tried to give Jeff a call but don't exactly want to blow up his phone as I'm AF and from what I understand he's navy PEB, but I want to see if there's any way I can get the process moving again. Any help would be much appreciated!

I am still pending and I got my fss email 29 Oct.... i feel like I am going crazy waiting and hoping each work day is the day my stuff finally comes back. When I call the VA I barely get anything, only that my proposed ratings still haven't been finalized.

oh no:/ hopefully you will hear something soon. I've been seeing people with MyFSS emails from the end of October finally receiving their ratings this week. have you tried to talk to your MSC? i had reached out to him and now my claim is finally with a rating team after he had to reach out to the DRAS personnel.

I have a number for the RI regional office where all Air Force DRASA cases are rated! You should give them a call and see if you can get info from on the ground, it's how I was able to find out my rater began working in my case yesterday. 401-223-3700

My MSC tells me he doesn't give any information other than helping with my appointments when I had them and to refer to my PEBLO. I will try the RI office mentioned above and hopefully get something!

well thats annoying. My MSC just let me know my case is sitting with a rater now. hopefully you can get some answers from the RI office!

Another thing you can try is to ask the folks on the 1000 line for the last activity in your case. If i don't they always hit me with the usual IDES tag lines (not that they are doing anything wrong that shit is just annoying after a while.). My PEBLO also mentioned at the start of the process once I hit 60 days they can lean a bit heavier on the VA to see what the hold up is, I would reattack with your PEBLO!
 
I have a similar issue. I spoke with my Wounded Warrior VSO, he says that a rater was ready to rate my stuff on January 9, but he is waiting on UNFIT determination from IPEB.

My PEBLO says IPEB made the "Unfit for Duty" determination on December 12, 2024 and sent it to the VA.

Whenever I ask my MSC to check why the VA has not received my UNFIT determination yet, he says the same thing as morgmeb's MSC, that he can't give me any information until the EXIT interview and that he's just there to set up my C&P appointments.

I called the 401-223-3700 number and they are saying the last update is Dec 11, 2024 "pending IPEB review" and to be patient, it's not done overnight.

What am I supposed to do at this point? Seems like the information has not gone from IPEB to VA that I am "Unfit for Duty".

So, and take this with a massive grain of salt, from what I've been able to gather the IPEB sends your unfit decision to the VA where it sits and waits for an actual individual rater to be assigned to your case. So even if the folks on the VA hotline say that your still pending unfit, if your PEBLO/lawyer/WWA says you're pending DRAS then there's nothing else we can do on our side of things.


Whole process is fucky and is in dire need of more transparency. If it makes you feel any better, having your about a month behind myself and AFVet and it sounds like we've both been assigned to an individual rater, meaning you should hear the same around the second week of feb!

Yeah, PEBLO, MSC and Regional Office person all told me to "be patient." I can be patient as long as I know everything is going the way it's supposed to, but right now it feels like there's a weird hold-up and since no one is giving me a clear answer my anxiety and impatience kicks in.

I agree that it needs to be more transparent. Like the whole VSO business is weird as well. I can't check on the VA stuff myself, but I can give someone else the right to check it for me and tell me about it? That's just unnecessarily convoluted.

The only thing you can try and do is trying to file a expedited memo for if you have a pending job or something else major from what others have said. I know the be patient thing sucks but it's literally the only thing you can do. I got put on anxiety medication due to this. With it being past the holidays everything should pick back up, I've been waiting since 12Nov when I was submitted to IPEB with the VA having my claims since early OCT and they (VA) finally started working on my stuff and was told that hopefully this week I should hear something according to the VA rep I talked with last week. Just try and focus on other things and if you're in school just bury yourself in classes to suck up that TA before you get out.

I'm even more surprised a VSO is involved in your case. When I started my process I went to go talk to one who came highly reccomended and he told me that VSOs basically can't touch medboards.

Yeah they could really do with a "your unfit decision has been recieved but you are still in queue for ratings" tag line to help calm people down. Once I posted this thread I started looking around more and noticing we are all suffering from a common issue with this.

He can't touch the medboard itself, but he's just there to keep track of the VA side of things and keep me updated. Also he'll know the case in advance in case I'll need to appeal the VA rating.

Yeah, I'm in Skillbridge, but it's not something I'll pursue afterwards. The stagnation is very exhausting. Me and my wife are just ready to pack up, move and start over.

I called them and they said my rating was finalized on the 18th!! Now just gotta wait for my peblo to get the notification to go over my ratings!

yay thats good!! try reaching out to your peblo as well. mine sat in my case for a month before i reached out to him and hes like oh i forgot.

Oh fuck yeah man! You should be able to call the VA and ask them to email you the letter so you can peak at your percentages
