Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

Also the findings tell you exactly what you need to do in order to get the next higher percentage for each claimed condition. So you’ll know if your rated wrong or not

From research:

If you disagree with the proposed rating, you can appeal the decision to the Formal PEB (FPEB). The FPEB should issue a decision within 24 days. You have the option to appeal the FPEB decision, which will take 10 days.

If you disagree with the rating after the appeal, you can request a VA rating reconsideration (VARR). A VARR takes two days once the PEB sends your claim to the VA Disability Rating Activity Site (D-RAS).

So great news, just got off the phone with the VA and they said they are currently reviewing my service treatment records and my case has been assigned a rater. They said the last activity on my case was in fact today so that’s somewhat comforting. The VA never fails to amaze me in their level of procrastination. I told myself 2 weeks ago that they would wait until the very last week of the 20 day rating processing period before they generated my proposed ratings and big surprise…here we are now going into day 15-20 of it being assigned to a rating team. My case was assigned to a rating team on Oct 18th. Hopefully I’ll have my ratings soon ya’ll and join the club of the few…the proud….the rated lol
So how do we know if its been sent from the PEB to the VA?

That sounds great, but what if there is something that i was unaware of being able to claim?am i screwed on that lol

Reach out to your PEBLO or MSC. They gave a tracker that let's you know where your case is in the process.
Interesting. I talked to PEBLO last week and he was convinced I would have da199 soon because fpeb already had my “preliminary ratings” before they deemed me unfit. MSC calls go straight to voicemail.

Finally got an update today from the VA!
Was in the preparation for decision phase for like the longest time, I think about a month.
But the VA lady today told me that there is finally some movement and it shows that mine is in the "secondary referred, preparing for decision, rating team was assigned last month in October and DOD/PEBLO and VA are working together on it". Funny thing is that I have been told every time till last week that my claim wasn't even assigned to a rating team so idk, maybe a late backed update?? Oh well, I'll take it!
Here's to hoping I get something or even maybe get my orders and go on terminal before next year! Would seriously be the BEST Christmas present ever...omg.

And oh, just wanted to throw this out there and get your thoughts on it...
I am prohibited from contacting my PEBLO and/or MSC until they contact me with any update now... lmao...I'm just so done and ready to get out the military now...even though 11 years...but my mental health and family is more important so... oh well.

Wow…seriously

How many times did you call them lol i understand though ,my peblo answered one call and sounded mad as hell that i called him like bro you literally work on my behalf its your job to answer my mf questions at least my msc has tried helping me contact my Peblo since then (didn't work though)

Wait a min…they seriously prohibited you from contacting them? How can they even do that?

I was told it takes 4 months to even get an FPEB hearing date. That's from my PEBLO in Jax.

That sounds like a over estimate to make you less anxious if it takes longer than normal one of my marines had one it took 3-4 weeks from deciding to have a FPEB to getting the findings back they're on check out now although total peb time is slightly longer than average rn not everyone decides for fpeb so that does help time wise

*shrug* It's just an option for me to stretch out my timeline a little bit to ensure everything matches up.

Anybody have a supplemental claim that they filed in addition to their original IDES claim and if so how long did your process take? I think I’m literally one of the last people if not the last person who had a case submitted to the PEB in August and still hasn’t gotten their proposed ratings back yet and I think it may be because of my supplemental claim….

Remember your MSC and PEBLO are your connection to the board as liaisons it is there job you should be blocked from contacting them. If they tell you that if ask for new ones. Now they might just be unhelpful which is par for a PEBLO but definitely shouldn’t be blocked

Hey ya'll, at what point did you guys see something start on the VA app? I was found unfit 24Oct, I know its still going to be awhile before ratings come back, I just see everyone talk about the app, and mine doesn't show anything.
