Navy Timeline Ankylosing Spondylitis and Bi Hip FAI

I also received orders for 28June. Have you received a TDRL message yet? Admin is asking me for it but haven't seen it yet.

Same. It’s not orders. Just lists everyone on TLDR for 28th of June. They should have a copy. Have your admin check message traffic. It was sent out Wednesday, April 22, 2020 2:58 PM.

Thanks for the replies. Admin checked it but they said they don't see anything. I also haven't seen anything on message traffic.

Could it be that someone dropped the ball? Do you know who I could possibly contact?

Hi there I am east coast at nmcp at just got my unfit at the fpeb yesterday. Anything you’ve found that slowed your getting out? I want to make this as smooth and quick as possible!!

Also if you don’t mind the extra question, how could you tell when your case was received by the VA?

@Usndocgreen Hey! Congratz.

While I was searching for a job I told the Navy that I was not going to take terminal/sep leave because if I didn't get a job in time, I wanted to get paid out for my leave days. This inadvertently delayed me getting my DD-214 and sep orders because with all the COVID work restrictions they are prioritizing people based on when they intend to leave the command. So if you want them sooner than later, I'd drop that leave chit. Make sure to stay engaged with your admin, they can make or delay the process greatly. Other than that it has been a fairly easy end to a long and stressful process.

For VA question, ebenefits reflected the claim when I filed on base with the MSC, I knew that the VA got my records from the C&P exams because they were given to me (pretty sure they get pulled from their system to be given to me), it went through a couple of rounds of updates that didn't personally tell me much, and when they assigned proposed ratings they close the case and opened a new one. That new case has remained open since March of this year. I just submitted my DD-214 via fax to the VA and applied for healthcare. A little stuck at the moment trying to apply for Tricare, but I am going to call them in the morning for clarification.

Thanks for reaching out! I will update my case to reflect orders and DD-214 dates in a few days.

Awesome! Thank you so much for that feedback I will start burning that leave!!

thanks again for your post! So on e benefits I don’t see anything about ongoing claims. That area says it’s been moved to va.gov. This is what I see on my VA.gov currently and it’s been unchanged for 6 months. What should I be looking for now to know my case arrived at the VA. With regards to leave do I burn down to zero now to get a quicker eas or is there a balance I should keep for terminal? I want the earliest eas I can get!!

Thanks again to the community. Being able to read past and present cases and gain a deeper understanding of the process was paramount to my sanity. There is light at the end of the tunnel, stay strong, stay the course, and fight for what is right.

I started a claim before I was recommended for a MEB. The claim is for my ankylosing spondylitis, should I wait for the meb process to run its course or do you think it I would slow it down completing the claim on my own
