I signed my narsum on June 10 and I have been waiting to hear something from the PEBLO's. I have been trying to give a little bit of time before asking questions (I don't want to annoy the PEBLO's.)
From what I understand, I am in England and my packet is sent to Randolph for the PEB. I am not sure if this is snail mail or email. I also know that the PEB has 15 days (From what I read in a timeline) to determine fit/unfit, but I am not sure if those are work days or calender days.

On my MPF my "assignment selection" changed to June 26 2015 deferred due to MEB/PEB. Not sure if that is a hint that my stuff arrived at AFPC and started being viewed or what.

Seeing how it has been a month since I signed my narsum, would now be a good time to ask my PEBLO's something, or should I give it a little longer to hear from them?

Judging your timeline, you should be hearing something this month, hopefully

@ Sniper, I myself have seen my preliminary ratings (as u guys know b/c i posted last week) however my PEBLO still hasn't received anything back from the PEB yet, so that's where I'm @. Just waiting, trying to be patient. I am however glad @ least that that feeling of not knowing for sure what my ratings will be is over.
How about yourself? Any progress?
 
None what so ever and how did you find out your ratings? I thought you said through your meb counsel?
 
Sorry to hear that. No not through MEB counsel, through my VA MSC (medical service coordinator). He's the one who helped you initially fill out your VA claim prior to all your C & P exams @ the VA. In my case, I think between our initial meeting in January & him telling me my ratings, I only spoke or saw the guy maybe once or twice.
 
Hey guys. Got a call from the AFW2 today. He was going over some separation things with me. During this, he said I should be final outing in 30 to 60 days. So I should get something any day now.

Havent been told that because the guy didnt have access. But he sent me so much info and told me some things to even ask finance before I sep. Also gave me info for tje AC and told me to get with them and then let him know what happens. He has seen a lot of people get screwed and he is trying to avoid that with me. He is a big help already
 
I talked to my MSC today and she told me they are waiting on clarification from the VA doctors whatever that means.
 
My ebenefits changed to "preperation for decision" today..
But I'm confused because I have never signed my package or seen my narsum. is that normal?

If you're a reservist/NG, I know that is probably normal. I'm not sure about AD.
 
For AD, you would see & review your NARSUM during the MEB stage. @ that time u can also concur with or appeal the MEB's findings & the NARSUM.
 
It was a great day today! Got my results in. Perm Retirement w/ 100%. (Also Perm & Total!!!) PEBLO mentioned how system he checks made no sense through my case. lol

Sorry, Im not understanding any of this. I assume the PEB is first, yes? And MEB stage comes after you are found unfit and your package gets sent to the MEB? Right?
I have not heard anything about being found unfit.. have not signed a package - or anything. But is it safe to assume that SINCE my case is in eBenefits - and has gone aaaaall the way to "prep for decision" that I was probably found unfit AND I'm in the MEB stage now? This doesn't sound like the way I keep reading other's timelines go.
Sorry for my stupidity on the subject - and thank you for helping. This seems to be the only place I am getting answers that are even written in what looks like english to me. And your cases seem similar to mine in time refrences.
 
Not stupid at all! First you should get a hold of your PEBLO and just ask if you were found unfit. But yes the VA will rate you first and then send it off to DOD side of the house and they will do up your 199. from what I ahve been seeing here lately the VA has sped up alot but now the DOD is backed up as is getting your orders.
 
Also got some good news from the DAV rep he was able to see my ratings from the VA an he told me those which is a huge stress relief and I am happy with them. So now I can wait in a little more sane state.

No the MEB portion is first, once its complete it goes to the Informal PEB, they find u fit or unfit...in some cases (when u dont agree w the boatds findings) it'll then go to a formal PEB if that's what u elect to do. From there your case goes to the VA, then back to the PEB / DoD...then finally back to your PEBLO who briefs you. PEBLO's are supposed to brief & educate SM's about this process. I also recommend asking your PEBLO for the IDES handbook (which he or she should've also already given you). It breaks down the entire IDES process much better than i can quickly do on here.
