Out of area SkillBridge during MEB??

Is it possible and or FEASIBLE to do a SkillBridge across the country from where my MEB is being processed?

Am I able to coordinate via email, and do my C&P exams at a clinic near my SkillBridge location?

Or is the only feasible option to do an online/local SkillBridge where I’m at?
 
You absolutely can. I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC but had all my VA exams, including C&P, in the Atlanta area since that’s where I was for my CSP.

They schedule your exams based on the address you put on your 526, so talk to your PEBLO and make sure it’s feasible and your MSC will make it happen. I was planning on moving to Atlanta even before I did my CSP there, fortunately for me I was able to use that address for all VA correspondence and haven’t had to change anything. If you are not planning on moving to or living where you do your CSP, it may be tricky with all the address changes.
 
Air Force here - we have to do an Exception to Policy signed by our CC that specifically states we are only allowed to do a local area skillbridge. I am currently doing a remote skillbridge from my house.

Hey, im newly going through the MEB process and in the DAF. Im in California but I was working with a company out in Virginia before I knew about this Exception to Policy that states only allowed SB in the local area. Do you think there was any way to get a waiver for that? Did they explain why local area is required, as "Gooner" mentioned, other services are able to and nothing in the DAF SB or MEB policy says that you cant leave the local area. Just curious if anything was mentioned when you went through the process.

I believe the MEB works with your local VA to do appointments. You’d have to reach out to a PEBLO to get a better reasoning/answer. Or, maybe your Commander can reach out to the office on the ETP memo and ask if it’s possible. Sorry I don’t have a better answer.

Look up AllegiantVets. You could do a virtual with them and work remote for that company if needed.
