If I disagree with my VA rate, but want to finish up my MEB without the delay of re-exams and extra paperwork (time sensitive job waiting for me), can I accept the rates to move forward with the MEB and appeal them after the fact? Meaning, am I stuck with the rates because I accepted them during the MEB process?

You will be stuck with them and they will be permanent at least for the DOD %. If the conditions are VA and not unfitting you can always request an increase to them later on. Rarely is it worth it to get out and accept results that are not what you believe you should have gotten.

How many years do you have in? A VARR usually doesn't take long.

At 10 years, if your not CRSC eligible, it is probable that you will only get VA pay. So if the discrepancy will not drive you below 30%, you can probably retire/separate and then appeal the VA rating.

@RonG can probably give you the numbers, based on your facts.

Appreciate the advice.

I might add you have only one year to appeal a VA rating. That time starts from when you get your actual, not your proposed rating.

Thank you, but I dont think that CRSC applies to me. While a few of my issues can be attributed to my time down range, I dont think CRSC is in the books for me. Thank you for the info.
