Long story short I’ve had three cases of rhabdomyolysis in the last 6 months. Two were pretty severe with one CK over 70,000 and the other over 120,000. My primary care during this last episode activated my order for a Fit For Duty. I called to schedule the FFD and the order was terminated by Ortho saying I didn’t meet requirements. Is this because I should be referred directly to An MEB? Or maybe missing documentation, more time on profile,etc? I know no one really knows in here I’m just looking for opinions. I’m also looking to get MEB because I want to save what’s left of my kidneys. I’m freaking out because I don’t want to wait 2 weeks for the appointment with my PCM. Thank you
Are you Reserves? If so, you commander can write a memo stating that you should attend a fit for duty exam. That way ortho couldn't block it.

Why was Ortho the one to resicnd? That sounds like a bone related issue. I would think internal medicine would submit the P3 paperwork which would trigger the FFD exam. I would seek treatment and try to stay on a profile. My guess is that your kidneys are now working fine or good enough. You may have to dig in and see what would trigger a MEB then for CK disease.
If your medical condition permanently restricts your duties or they suspect so then a fit for duty exam should be done. You might want to ask PCM why the cancellation and what would be the threshold to which you could get MEB? Once you find that out just seek treatment. Maybe talk to an Ombudsman if your health isn't being protected. The key to getting MEB would be in improvement and your condition causes you to not be able to do your job.
From my understanding the threshold/requirement to be submitted to an MEB in this situation is a clear indication of repeating rhabdomyolysis cases. My new position on why is was terminated is because my updated blood work still had my CK levels over 3k. I have a virtual appointment scheduled with my PCM 03/04.
