Right now they don't know. They said my paperwork was finalized a day late. He said can be as early as next week or later he didn't know.

Hmm, okay! Indeed, in my opinion, there should be someone in DFAS who is capable of providing a more definitive response?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

You would think their would be but the first time I called a couple of weeks ago the lady was rude and wouldn't even look up my info. She just snapped and said I has to wait 30-60 days before I could call and look it up. Then I asked her to speak to a manager since she was so rude. The first time I even asked her she didn't let me finish my question and just snapped at me. But instead if transferring me to a manger she just hung up. The second time I called wich was yesterday the guy was nice and helpful

Wow; simply amazing the actions of some “idiot individuals” in my opinion albeit good job with maintaining your positively proactive stance at this point! ;) Take care and enjoy life!

Well, after being with the VA for 307 days, my case finally moved again. This time it went back to the Gathering of Evidence Phase for the SECOND time. They want more documentation. I'm not sure to be mad because it went backwards again, or to be happy knowing that it is actually being looked at. 405 days in the process so far. 2 unfitting/ 6 other contentions. It's just been a long haul so far.

Indeed, I continue to be sadden in reference to your unfortunate situation; hmm, I can't say anything more for potential assistance! :(

More medical documentation within the past 12 months for one of my contentions. I guess if they had touched it prior to 310 days they may not need said documentation.

Hmm, indeed, it would seem so for sure in my opinion too! ;)

HELP NEEDED- received a call on Friday stating that the VA sent me a VA Form 5103. The representative stated that it was a waiver stating that i have no other information to submit for my claim. i let them know that i have nothing else to submit. I was on EBENEFITS today and my case had moved to the historical claims section. BUT i have a new case that was created (and in he gathering evidence block). The new case has some of my conditions posted in the Contentions area (but not all) and states development letter sent. i have attached a copy of the page.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation.

Thanks,
Green

Hmm, it seems that the DoVA D-RAS is trying to move onward with your disability claim by deferring contentions which require additional medical evidence.

That said, this is a normal business practice by the DoVA D-RAS to potentially decrease the duration of time to process VA disability claims. Take care!

Morning Everyone!! I wanted to know if you all can help me out with something. My eBenefits change July 20th to gathering of evidence requesting seperation documents. I received an email July 29th saying .....

"You are currently in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process which consists of 12 Steps from Referral to Benefits.
The IDES Dashboard tracks the start and completion of each step through the entire process to provide you with visibility of where your case is at all times.
You are receiving this email as notification that you have completed the PEB Findings step in the IDES process. Your case is now in the VA Rating step and is expected to be there based on the Army’s Average time of completion.
If you have questions concerning the details of your case please contact your PEBLO to provide assistance.
If you are experiencing Dashboard related problems please use the Dashboard feedback link located on the toolbar to address your issue. We will promptly respond to your concerns."

I contacted my Peblo before I recieved this email and she stated that its at the PEB findings step and I'm just waiting on my DA199. To me the email is stating that my case went back to VA Ratings..!! Can anyone help me out with this?? Does it take this long to recieve your DA199?? I really appreciate any input!

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Hmm, it seems that the aforementioned message is a new standard of providing reply messages to DoD IDES participants.

That said, I believe you have no worries at this point since your PEBLO has provided the latest status update with your DoD IDES case file.

From my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, it can take up to 14 calendar days (even longer if a backlog exist) to receive the DA Form 199 from HQ USAPDA. Take care!

Finally received my retirement pay today. It only took 56 days.... Now waiting in the va to finalize my claim.

I would say the average is between 120-140 If you are reserves/Nasty guard it may take longer. Don't know why but it just does.

Have you been told anything on how long it will take to receive 1st VA check? Husband medically retired June 19 and we got his retirement check on August 1st. My husband got 100% rating VA and 90% Army. We filed his claim through MEB in Oct 2013 and got his rating in March. His PEBLO said that was the fastest she's seen with that high of ratings. We planned on moving to GA, but ended up moving back to CO. Denver VA didn't get all his paperwork until last month due to Atlanta saying they never had his paperwork from Fort Riley. After getting Fort Riley IDES involved Atlanta finally sent all his stuff to Denver. His PEBLO said we would start getting his VA check by August 1st at which time he could apply for CRSC. She also told us he would go for reevaluation in 6 months when they would do his final ratings. Apparently no one around here that works for the VA has no idea about the MEB/PEB process. The VA guy at Denver Benefits Office said they have to do his final ratings before we would get his check. Now we are totally confused. We know Seattle VA IDES has his paperwork and I guess they are reviewing everything to make sure all the paperwork was done correctly. We get that part. What is getting us is that no one in the VA knows anything or works together. We called the VA again over 10 days ago and the lady told us the only thing she could see was that Seattle IDES has his paperwork. She put in a request for Seattle to call us, but never did. Now we are trying to figure out when we will get his first check.
