TDRL to AD

Hello everyone, I was recently placed on the TDRL in February of 2023. I had not wanted to get out at all however that is a different conversation. I have made leaps and bounds in terms of improvements since my separation date. My question is can I request an earlier re-evaluation in order to be found fit for full sooner. Ultimately I would like to return to AD with as least time spent out of the Navy as possible. I'm not having much luck in the civilian job market doing something that I enjoy. If I am in fact able to request an earlier evaluation what will I need to present to the board to ensure I am found fit for full and can return to AD? Thank you for any advice given. I have not been able to find much in terms of success stories going from TDRL to AD. If anyone has a similar experience I would love your feedback.

Make sure to do your research. Being found fit while on TDRL doesn't mean you automatically get back in. I would hate for you to lose a retirement and also not be able to get back into the Navy.

Exactly what @Provis said. TDRL to FIT is not automatic readmittance to service. You are *retired.* The only way to come back after TDRL to FIT, after your paperwork is updated to negate your disability, is to go to a recruiter. And they don't *have* to take you.
