Let me know how the call goes, but FWIW, I got my letter from the VA today. It said they got my claim on April 3rd (I finished my VA appointments on April 25th) and it took until the 27th for them to finish the claim for approval, and about 10 days and then was sent out yesterday back to the PEB. My case was sent from the MEB phase out to the PEB phase on June 2nd, so it kinda looks like it took the VA 3.5 months to finish the claim.
Per the letter they sent, it says: “Your military service department requested a disability assessment from VA because you were found unfit for continued military service…… We are proposing that your total combined rating for service-connected disabilities is XX%…… We provided a copy of your proposed rating decision to your service department’s Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) [which I’m assuming is the PEB’s PEBLO to the VA and not my PEBLO. Lmao]”
So basically what I gather from this is the PEB said, “this dude is unfit,” and then just had to wait for the VA to finish up, and now it’s back to the PEB to send out the findings.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the length of time, cause I think you possible have another month or so until the VA finishes up (sorry). There’s like 6-9 steps to the decision phase I found out.
So I’m hoping to hear from my PEBLO re: the official findings in the next 2-3 weeks (I feel like
@Blowjanglez should be any day or week now, but I’ve seen horror stories if you search in the forum where PEBLOs forget to tell folks, so idk how that works.
