VA delay in submitting proposed ratings

My PEBLO let me know that supposedly people who are being med boarded are not affected by the guidance pushed out by the Army regarding orders and stuff.
I just hit TRANSPROC today, orders should be out hopefully within the next 2 weeks or so.

Heard anything about final pay? I’m not getting retired. 100% VA 20% DoD
So sorry abt that, u can appeal it but that means you would have to wait for an additional 6-8 months for the FPEB. I got 60% DOD and 100 p&t for VA. I’m finally at peace.

So I just heard about the Ingram v Collins case. Is anyone familiar with that? I am getting medboarded for my back, which would fall under a musculoskeletal issue, and the exact kind that they are calling people back on for reexaminations due to the verdict on this case. My case file says that medication and steroid injections have little to no impact, so would that help me not have to take another C&P exam? I am currently in stage 5/5 of the claim on VA.gov, but my PEBLO said they are calling people back at every stage putting me in the predicament. Any help is appreciated thank you!

Nah man, I refuse to give these people anymore of my time. I’m protecting myself and my peace, I don’t have a family so truthfully I’m alright with it. How did you determine you were P&T though? I’m curious.

Would they actually email you your proposed ratings? Or at least tell you? Or is this after the PEB finalize the disposition? I’ve called today and the VA rep just told me they can’t give out the info :/ just that it’s with the PEB now.

It was stated on my decision letter “Basic eligibility for Dependents' Educational Assistance is proposed as the evidence shows permanent and total disabilities. Evidence we have used to propose permanent and total disability status: VA examination findings and service treatment medical records show numerous diagnosed static proposed service connected disability conditions with evaluations assigned in this proposed rating decision, per VA Schedule of Rating Disabilities 38 CFR Part 4, combine to 100 percent permanent and total without the need of future exams. (38 CFR 3.344) The effective date of this proposed eligibility to Dependents' Educational Assistance is to be determined. (38 CFR 3.400)”

Just making sure, mine is worded a tad different. “Basic eligibility for Dependents' Educational Assistance is proposed as the evidence shows you currently have a totally disabling service-connected disability or disabilities, permanent in nature.”

I understand, it was actually listed as item no 19 of 25, that they are proposing P&T for my conditions.

I’m just wondering which one of my condition(s) actually caused me to be P&T. It doesn’t say anywhere for me.

It wont tell u exactly which of the conditions, but I know mine due to what’s going on with me

I think I have an idea as well, but you’d think they would give like a specific justification. Oh well I’m glad to be nearly done. Still butt hurt I didn’t get retired, but a beggar cannot be a chooser

In my own case it’s my lower extremities conditions, I have a very bad CECS from basic training years ago, it led to fractures on both of my legs in AIT which the VA rated 20% back then, it continue to lead to so many other problems. I have been on permanent profile since I got out of AIT, and few years ago I was issued a P3 profile due to that condition but I wasn’t medboarded. I had the compartment testing done at a civilian hospital and the doctor said she hasn’t seen a CECS as worse as mine. Military surgeon said they are not authorizing surgical procedures coz it would not come out well. they said they are sorry there’s nothing they can do to improve my condition because all other treatments hasn’t been helpful. Same thing as my plantar fasciitis which has been a pain in the ass since 2021, there’s no treatment i haven’t done, I was actually walking on my toes coz I can’t put my feet down. I did surgery for the condition in March, I got relief, and 3 months later it came back again. So with those conditions and years of consistent treatment records showing no single improvement or other medical intervention that could improve the condition in future, then I believe that’s what triggered the P&T
