Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

Shoot, mine was closed last Friday and I got them to send it Tuesday?
You're Air Force, right? How did you find out exactly when the PEB deemed you unfit? You said you were deemed unfit 18 Sep right? Is that when you got the email saying your PEB got your package?
Also, what do you mean when you say "closed" ?
Because nothing is populating on va.gov for me yet. Doesn't even show that I have a claim put in.

Also, you mean to select option 3 when you call the VA number, right? For the Forms or Letter Requests option??
Making sure I called the right place.

But yeah, definitely calling again tomorrow, Friday, next Monday...every single damn day!! hahah

Yea select option 3. And to find out I had to make a big fuss with my PEBLO about it and she reached out for me. They aren’t allowed to tell you anymore if your u fit.

When I called the VA I dialed option 3 and said I know they just sent a letter today but I’ll be out of town for 30 days and won’t get it until then and he sent it to me
Oh no I meant what rating did you get

100%!!! However I can’t see if it’s P&T or not. They said it was P&T last week but that was before the PEB said it was incorrect and they had to fix the ratings which is what was done yesterday. Did your letter you got emailed reflect P&T if you were?
Yea fortunately they sent me the full narrative of what I got for each and why

So I got two letter’s sent to me. I got one last week that listed out each of my disabilities and what percentage I got for them and then I was sent a second one tonight that just said 100% with dependents pay. May call tomorrow and ask if P&T is reflected because I know there’s another page that they definitely won’t send me that probably details the chapter 35 benefits if I’m P&T

Nevermind, I looked at the VA disability rates for 2024 since that's what they're using until Jan 2025 when they increase and it does reflect my additional SMC pay so we're all gravy, I think I'm P&T!!!

Look towards the bottom of the one which broke down your ratings, its hidden down there but it says whether its P&T or not!

So my case a little weird, originally the rater on my case generated a proposed rating. When I asked her if I was P&T she couldn’t tell me if I was but said she may have “overlooked” that detail lol…so she went back to fix it, I waited a day and called the VA back and asked if it now reflected P&T and the VA rep said it did.

Ayyy let’s gooo, both of us entering the 100%P&T family. Still cannot believe it actually happened

Looking at your gap between PEB accepted and assigning of a rater, I'm basically in line with you. Maybe I'm not so far off as I'm about a month behind you.

I would add 2 weeks at least Thanksgiving then Christmas/new years is going to slow everything down a bit sadly

I'm fine w/ that. I'm on the edge of needing to submit a PLD request to extend my time a bit to ensure I hit 20.

If you have a few years left they'll typically allow PLD i forgot who to to ask about that though id assume career planner mine mentioned something about that to me
