I read in another thread a member was receiving his pension and also VA disability at the same time before the age of 60.
How do I know If I qualify to receive both I am 42.
I have one deployment but no combat related injurys.
Which version of Tricare for reservist with 20 year letter who was medically retired.
My ratings are 90%VA, 80DOD.
I've tried searching the forums already for this info but get contradictory information.

I retired at 22 years and would not be eligible for my pension until age 60. However I am 100% DoD and 100% VA and receive CRSC. As far as Tricare, I am enrolled in Tricare select (No Cost)

You can get both with a 20 year letter once you receive eligible retirement age for the reserves which is age 60 or slightly lower if qualifying combat tours are able to reduce it. Also, you won't get it automatically. To get CRDP which is getting VA and pension at same time you have to apply for your Reserve Retirement 6 months before qualifying age to retire from Reserves. My wife is in the same boat. She will get VA to offset her pension but because of her 20 year letter she will qualify for CRPD once she apply and gets her Reserve Retirement at age 60.
