Non-duty-related PEB questions

Hi all, I am a drilling Guardsman with 18 years combined active and Guard duty, and due to some behavioral health issues I have had over the past year, I was recommended for separation, and given the choice to either be discharged and put on the retired list (benefits at 60, nothing else), or appeal and go before an informal PEB. I chose the PEB, since I (and hopefully my doctors) think that I have improved enough to be able to fully carry out my military duties, and stick it out until I can retire at 20 years.

I am curious about my further options as I go through the PEB process, though. The paperwork that I signed when electing the PEB stated that the PEB solely determines fitness or unfitness, and does not take into account LOD's (one is pending), or make decisions on disability benefits. At what point do those come into play? Or does disability come into play at all with a non-duty-related PEB?

Any information you all could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Do you think your condition is duty related or In the Line of Duty?

Note this section from DODI 1332.18:
"b. Referral Requirement. When an LOD determination is required, it will be done before sending a Service member’s case to the PEB."

Also, see this:

DoDI 1332.18, Enclosure 3, Para. 3.:

"g. Issues. At the FPEB, the Service member will be entitled to address issues pertaining to his or her fitness, the percentage of disability, degree or stability of disability, administrative determinations, or a determination that his or her injury or disease was non-duty related."

You know, sometimes you just need a break from the daily routine. I gave jackpot jill australia a shot recently, and it’s been a pretty solid experience overall. I didn't have much luck at the beginning and thought I was going to walk away empty-handed, but I managed to turn it around with one lucky round. If you're living in Australia and looking for a reliable spot to try your luck, this is worth a look.
thanks for sharing this!
