PEB Correction

has anyone requested the PEB to fix an "administrative" error made by the PEB? If so, how long did it take to get a new DA 199?

They had one of my ratings, PTSD listed at 30% rather than 50%, which makes a large difference in my retirement. It will bump me up to 60% total on the DoD side, still at 90% on the VA side.

My PEBLO requested the PEB to "administratively" adjust this error. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 104 days for a new 199.

Trying to avoid the formal appeal process, which will take forever.

hey Mtafoy04 did you get any luck with fixing that error? I have one error also and PEBLO is no help. I'm currently doing a VARR to try and fix it since it was the VA that made the mistake. Then I'm trying to get three other conditions added as unfitting.

Nope. It has been a mess. My PEBLO continues to say my packet is in the appeal process with the PEB. Well, I got ahold of the PEB and they sent my packet is with PDA. So, I told my PEBLO why I was at PDA without seeing or signing a new 199??? He replied with the same bullshit and assured me it is with PEB. Well, I then called the PDA and they confirmed my packet is with them so t must be the old, incorrect 199. I am confused as hell now!!! So frustrating. My PEBLO did the same thing when I was waiting for my initial 199, which took 106 days to receive. It was lost in their transition. I found that out too by calling the PEB directly after my PEBLO said it was not lost and he "calls" daily. Bullshit he called daily!!! Caught him in numerous lies.

yes I hear you straight on that. I'd like to figure out who I could call to get some type of correction or disciplinary action taken against those. I would think with enough of us having the same issue some one could step in to protect. Just not sure who to call to report these issues. I'm now a field grade officer and I'm seeing that rank has nothing to do with the attitude and lack of assistance Camp Atterbury isn't given any of us.

I thought about emailing the base commander, COL John Silvia. I have his info at work. I think if he received enough emails from us, he may jump in and get someone to assist this matter. I already have a draft email, just haven't sent it yet.

COL John Silva

You know I'm curious if they even fall under his Command. When I drove up there to meet with the legal counsel I was amazed to find that all there offices are off post. They are in VA buildings across the street from Camp Atterbury. And all of the VA MSC, legal counsel, DoD doctors that wrote the NARSUM and PEBLOs are all in one building with their offices all next to each other. After I typed up my own VARR and PEB appeal and sent it to my PEBLO the legal counsel emailed me saying that he is wrong with what he was guiding me toward. At that point I lost all confidence in Camp Atterbury and am looking into ways to have them relieved. Camp Atterbury falls under Fort Knox somehow. I'm researching this.
Like you if we had enough folks to complain on the treatment from Camp Atterbury maybe we would help those behind us.
