Hurry up and wait?

Hello everyone! I’ve been reading forums on this page for a while now and finally decided to make an account to post my timeline and some concerns I have.

Nov 2020- MEB initiated
Jan 2021- Exams Complete
March 16- Got Narsum (IMR)
March 31- Signed updated Narsum and sent to PEB.

Now my concerns are
1) I checked the CMS dashboard and it’s showing 40 days for the IPEB step. The other 2 steps underneath haven’t populated yet. I feel as though this is a long time for one step because reading other people’s posts about there dashboard and the highest I’ve seen on IPEB step was 30.

2) I’ve reached out to PEBLO and Supervisor for updates about 2 times now since the PEB package was sent. No response.

Has anyone had similar wait times on the IPEB step? Is that site even accurate?

TIA and have a good day!

Unfortunately everything is slow in the PEB process. The dates listed are aspirational. No one gets a rip is they are late, so being late is the standard.

i was in the same boat as you. Those two steps for me just populated today and changed the numbers for the step you are talking about. i went from 36 days on IPEB to 30 with 1 for VA ratings and 4 for PEB Findings

In my experience the days could fluctuate. I would check in one day and have a number only to check in the next and it be different. Try to remain as flexible as possible through the process.

54 days on IPEB step on CMS. Let’s goooooo ladies and gentlemen. I am probably breaking records out here. PEBLO or supervisor don’t answer emails or calls. Hopefully it updates to something tomorrow because apparently it updates at midnight on Mondays? We shall see.

67 days here. I was also really hoping for some kind of sign at midnight last night. All I got was a growing Army Average for this stage. :(

They say complexity of the cases affect it but I don’t see how my case is complex compared to some others on here where they hit like 30 days on the IPEB step. Hopefully for us the other 2 steps go quickly since the IPEB step was drug out

Your reply makes me think that you have a more advanced dashboard than I have. I only have IPEB, not the VA rating & IPEB findings steps displayed. I do know that the VA sent their proposed recommendation to the IPEB on 1April. If you have not seen you VA ratings, there are a few ways to find out if they are done or not.

Go to VA.Gov (you need to create a login if you haven’t ever been there). Then go to disability claims. If you only have 1 claim, then it is likely they haven’t finished yet. If you have 2 claims, 1 open / 1 closed.. then you have a proposed VA rating already and they are just waiting for the results of the IPEB. So, click on the closed claim and scroll down to find a phone number. Once you get them on the phone they can email you your letter and you will have an idea of what VA combined rating you will receive.

Then you just have to wait for a 199.

My dashboard doesn’t have the VA rating or PEB finding steps yet either. Just IPEB and then Soldier Counsel. I’ve had my proposed percent since the beginning of March (Before my case was even sent to the PEB) and there is 2 claims, one closed and one open. The Army just needs to hurry up and click some buttons because the VA is done lol

An update for all of those here. Today is day 69 in IPEB. I received my 199, which will likely appeal. Hope this helps for those wondering what current timelines are.
Also, my dashboard still never separated IPEB from VA and PEB findings like it does for others.

Ayyy let’s go. If you don’t mind me asking why are you appealing? I saw your other thread where your ROM for your back should’ve been 40% alone. Plus the radiculopathy separated. I’m in for the same stuff pretty much except a couple more things with my back.

Were you found fit??

Were you found fit??
Yes, and in my situation, unfortunately that is the last thing I wanted. I am sure they will agree once they receive my formal evidence. I would absolutely not base your case on mine aside from knowing they are about 69 days out :)

Let's hope they take your case! The formal PEB isn't guaranteed when you are found fit. When you request a Formal hearing they can deny it.

Hmmm. Did your commanders statement not agree? Not enough evidence to prove? If you don’t mind me asking lol. Because now im kind of concerned that that is why mine is taking so long......

They found me fit by presumption. They did not evaluate my medical condition or commander’s statement. I had an Mandatory Removal Date (MRD) before being referred to the MEB. My appeal will show that the MRD was caused by my injury. Kind of a chicken or the egg situation.

Oh really? I read that the options is there for everyone. I will have to do more research. Hopefully I can write a convincing enough appeal letter. I know I can get the evidence to convince a FPEB, but not in the 6 days I have to sign my 199 including a holiday weekend in the middle.

So a little update for anyone looking for timelines. Today is 10 weeks since my package was sent to PEB (March 31)

I checked the little CMS Dashboard and the IPEB was completed on 26 May (56 Days)
VA was completed 28 May (2 Days)
Now it’s at PEB Findings (12 Days)

My PEBLO told me last week that my stuff was at the VA DRAS for ratings. I emailed today to see if 199 was even started yet and was told that my stuff is still at the VA DRAS and no 199 has been generated yet. So idk how accurate the CMS or the PEBLOS system is because it says the VA was completed 28 May and I called the DRAS number and they said that it was all on the Army now because they were complete. And I’ve heard that 199’s can take a month from start to signatures. So I’ll probably be waiting well over the 12 weeks I was told.

Hey Limbo, Can you post your CMS and redact your personal info? Sometimes its easier to see it as you and I have similar referred conditions it would be cool to see the screen shot

I tried logging in and there was an error for the site.

When was your packet sent to PEB?
They took 56 days for an unfit decision and then the VA Rating and PEB Findings lines popped up. Those 2 lines just popped up for me last week because I think it only updates on Monday at midnight. So if I had to copy CMS it would look like

MEB Completed and Sent to PEB: March 31
Informal PEB: 56 Days: May 26
Va Rating: 2 Days: May 28
PEB Findings: 12 days: ………
