After I saw the senate wasn’t voting on the NDAA until after midterm’s “it seems” pretty clear that it was a tool. I mean…it’s always like that, but disappointed none the less. I really hope I’m wrong.

I believe I had used it before, but does anybody have a shell email that I can push out to the remaining Lawmakers in my state?

I almost can see the glowing light at the end of the tunnel. Keep it up y’all.

As far as a template for emails/letters, just send something - anything!! Don’t worry about a template. Law makers and staff don’t care to read a “template” as much as they like to read something personal.

I suggest writing something that is personal to you and how sponsoring/passing this bill would help you and your family. Talk about your loved ones. Write about how you obtained your combat related injuries and how it effects you and your family. Write how you can’t obtain certain jobs due to those injuries. Bla bla. Bottom line, be personal and not just the same copy-paste.

Also, reach out to your buddy vets. They need you.

;)

How can I find out if I’m eligible for CRSC. I was medically retired at 13 1/2 years and it shows combat related on my DD214. I have my CMB and multiple combat deployments. I am 100% on the VA side and 70% on the Army side. Any help would be very much appreciated.

So since I only did 13 1/2 years does that mean I’m not eligible for retirement pay I would assume?

If you were medically retired, you are a chapter 61 retiree. Your potential dfas retired pay is currently waived (off set), but you get the 100% VA pay instead. Your only current recourse, in my opinion is CRSC, if eligible, to restore some of that pay that is waived. How much it restore, i dont know in your case. Everyone's calculations are not the same. CRSC, you must apply to branch and is not automatic. This is merely my take and I hope I am not giving misleading information.
