Navy Timeline - Millington, TN

My Family and I are over the process. I thought I’d be done before my EAS so I completed skillbridge and moved my Family home into our house. Now I’m back on station for months now and the Family is home. Just waiting daily for any updates to plan out the next moves but can’t. I understand the work load the process is but definitely could be a better way or tracking purposes for the member at least. Army has fast timelines, I guess the Marines just behind and so are our fellow Navy Sailors.
Your timeline seems way past due and not getting any answers is big red flags your case may have fell through the cracks. I really hope this isn't the case for you.

That is a tough sitution... I am sorry, I am also past my EAS and had to file a medical extension. The Marine/Navy process is so slow compared to Army, and Army has better tracking. Not to mention the inconsistencies, I have seen some people only be in QA for a week, others 30 days, and some upwards of 90 with no explanation of why. My case also sat untouched for 44 days between when my VA case closed and the PEB requesting it while other people had their case close after mine and went into QA sooner and already have their findings. None of it makes any type of sense.

Or just have very explicit standards written out that include consequences to the services who do not comply, for example, 1-30 days past due is an additional 10%, 31-60 days past due is 20% etc. This could even be written to be immune from the offset. When things start costing the branches serious $$ they will get some oversight on the process and make darn sure its done on time. No reason post VA QA should take any longer than 30 days etc.
QA is supposed to take 7 days, If I had something at my job 44 days past due, I might be looking an NJP

I know I probably annoy the PEB but I call every two weeks to get traction on my case. An this whole thing of my case at the VA, but the VA sees no request and they sent my case back to PEB in Nov, then my lawyer saying one thing (PEBLO never answers), and by the flow chart I should be either in QA post VA or having my findings. None of it sits right. I called yesterday got voicemail the whole time. I’m going to call Monday and see what’s going on.

There's definitely something holding you up somewhere. Your VA claim closed a few days before mine and I already have my findings and my new EAS. I would try getting your command involved and if you don't get headway there I'd start complaining to the highest people you can. There is no reason you should not be out by now or about to leave.

People with my timeline are getting their findings back right now, but your timeline is a month prior to mine. My VA case closed on 22DEC2023. My unfit condition is for severe asthma and I'm in San Diego. I'm not sure if the unfit condition or location plays a factor.

Also. The PEB should be able to tell you if you are in QA or not and how many cases are ahead of you. I'd recommend calling around 9am EST. That's when I always got ahold of them

Yea I’m definitely calling Monday to get something out of someone because it’s been ridiculous beyond ready to get out. My timeline is insane honestly I agree.

I’m hoping my findings come back soon.

That sounds good because it is different!!!! Yay!!!

Wish you inspired me to call PEB for the first time today…..they told me my peblo has had my findings for a while now. Grrrrrr glad I called thank you!

Happy that you have them now! Honestly, I called because I was wondering if that happened to me. We both entered QA on the same day.
Hopefully we will both hear from our Peblo today.

If I were you, I would go to your Peblo and inform them of what you were told rather than keep waiting. Chances are if the Peblo has already had them for a while then they have been overlooked.

Aren't you in San Diego? They have three separate peblos who handle findings etc. They should reach out at some point to schedule a sit down with you to go over the findings, but you could also go there up to the office where you attended that class to speak to them in person and see if they have your stuff. Assuming you went out of Balboa as well.

You are so right. I'm going to start with emailing him now.

Yes I am in San Diego and did the class at Balboa. My Peblo will respond to emails so I am going to send him an email first. That will give me time to attend my appointments this morning. Then if I don't hear anything I will drop by.
